BATTERY RECYCLING

As the world's leading industrial battery manufacturer, EnerSys® is proud to operate a comprehensive worldwide recycling program – one that protects the environment and protects you from non-compliance penalties. Along with our own batteries, EnerSys recycles lead acid batteries of all sizes, from all manufacturers. EnerSys also recycles its own lithium-ion batteries, thanks to agreements with leading global lithium-ion battery recovery partners. For both chemistries, it's a closed-loop lifecycle that makes compliance easier so you can focus on your business instead of complicated state and federal regulations.

LEAD ACID BATTERIES

Lead acid batteries are by far the most fully recycled of all consumer products. Recycling centers can recover more than 99% of the lead and plastic in a lead acid battery. Once those reclaimed materials reach a battery manufacturer, they can account for 60-80% of the lead and plastic in a "new" lead acid battery.

LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES

EnerSys's lithium-ion battery recovery partners use a recycling process that enables up to a 95% recovery rate. It's an environmentally sustainable approach that cuts CO2 emissions by up to 67% and reduces water usage by up to 97% versus mining and refining new materials.

To help support the changing needs of your operation, PROSeries® pre-owned batteries and chargers are available for purchase or rent.
