Installation

Dimensions: The dishwasher requires specific installation dimensions. The main unit height is adjustable between 818-898 mm, with a minimum clear height of 820 mm and a maximum of 900 mm. The width required is 450 mm, and the depth is 550 mm. Ensure a minimum clearance of 550 mm in front of the appliance. The water inlet hose should be connected to the water mains using the supplied hose-sets; old hose sets must not be reused. The appliance must be connected to a grounding connection. Ensure the mains plug is accessible after installation and never pull the mains cable to disconnect; always pull the plug. The water inlet hose contains a safety valve and a sheath with an inner mains cable. Before connecting to new or long-unused pipes, let water run until clear. Ensure no visible water leaks during and after the first use. If the water inlet hose is damaged, close the water tap immediately and contact an Authorized Service Centre.

Electrical Connection: This appliance is designed for installation/connection to a grounding connection. Ensure your home's electrical supply parameters match the rating plate. Use a correctly installed shockproof socket. Do not use multi-plug adapters or extension cables. Avoid damaging the mains plug or cable. If the cable needs replacement, contact an Authorized Service Centre. The appliance is fitted with a 13 A mains plug; use only a 13 A ASTA (BS 1362) fuse for replacement (UK and Ireland only).

Safety Warnings: Only a qualified person should install this appliance. Remove all packaging and do not install or use a damaged appliance. Always take care when moving the appliance as it is heavy; use safety gloves and enclosed footwear. Do not install or use the appliance where the temperature is below 0 °C. Install in a safe, suitable place. Do not use the appliance before it is built-in. Open the door carefully after installation to avoid injury. Ensure plastic covers on the door sides are locked. Water Softener

The water softener removes minerals that negatively affect washing results. Water hardness is measured in scales. Adjust the softener level according to your local water authority's advice. Multi-tabs with salt are not sufficient for hard water.

1) Factory setting. 2) Do not use salt at this level.

The water softener undergoes an automatic regeneration process.

Rinse Aid Level & End Sound

Rinse Aid: Helps dry dishes without streaks. It's released automatically. Refill the dispenser when the indicator is on. For best drying, always use rinse aid. Deactivate by setting the level to 0A.

End Sound: An acoustic signal can be activated for programme completion. Note that acoustic signals also sound for malfunctions and cannot be deactivated.

AirDry & Key Tones

AirDry: Improves drying by automatically opening the door during the drying phase. It's activated with all programmes. Caution: Do not close the door within 2 minutes of automatic opening. If children have access, consider deactivating AirDry due to the potential danger of the automatically opening door.

Key Tones: Buttons produce a click sound when pressed. This sound can be deactivated.

Before First Use

  1. Adjust the water softener level according to water hardness.
  2. Fill the salt container. Use only regeneration salt for dishwashers. Fill with 1 litre of water first, then 1 kg of salt. Ensure the salt container cap is tight. Clean any spilled salt to prevent corrosion.
  3. Fill the rinse aid dispenser. Use only dishwasher-specific rinse aid. Fill until the "FILL" marking. Clean any spilled rinse aid.
  4. Open the water tap.
  5. Start the Quick programme without detergent or dishes to remove manufacturing residues. The appliance recharges the water softener for up to 5 minutes before the washing phase begins.

Daily Use

  1. Open the water tap.
  2. Activate the appliance.
  3. Fill salt and rinse aid dispensers if empty.
  4. Load the baskets.
  5. Add detergent (tablets, powder, or gel). For programmes with prewash, add a small amount to the inner door. Do not exceed 30 ml of gel detergent.
  6. Select and start a programme.
  7. Close the water tap when the programme is complete.

Using Detergent: Use only dishwasher-specific detergent. Follow packaging instructions for dosage. Insufficient detergent leads to poor cleaning; too much can leave residues, especially with soft water. Adjust based on water hardness.

Selecting & Starting Programmes: Use the MY TIME bar to select a programme. The ECOMETER shows consumption, and the display shows duration. Activate EXTRAS as needed. Close the door to start.

Activating EXTRAS: Options must be activated before starting a programme. Not all options are compatible. Activating options may increase water/energy consumption and duration.

AUTO Sense: Press the AUTO Sense button. The light illuminates, and the display shows the longest possible duration. Close the door to start. The appliance senses load and adjusts the cycle.

Delay Start: Select a programme, then press the delay button repeatedly to set the time (1-24 hours). Close the door to start the countdown. The programme starts after the countdown. You cannot change the delay time or programme during countdown.

Cancel Delay Start: Press and hold the delay button for 3 seconds.

Cancel Running Programme: Press and hold the relevant button for 3 seconds.

Opening Door During Operation: Opening the door stops the appliance, potentially affecting consumption and duration. It resumes after closing. If opened for over 30 seconds during drying (unless by AirDry), the programme ends.

Auto Off: The appliance switches off automatically after a programme completes or after 5 minutes if no programme is started, saving energy.

End of Programme: The display shows 0:00. Auto Off activates. Only the on/off button is active.

Hints and Tips

General: Dishwasher use is generally more water and energy-efficient than hand washing. Load to full capacity. Arrange items correctly in baskets. Do not pre-rinse dishes by hand. Remove large food residues and empty cups before loading. Soak or scour heavily soiled items.

Basket Loading: Ensure items do not touch or cover each other for optimal water circulation. Use dishwasher detergent, rinse aid, and salt separately or use multi-tablets. Select programmes based on load and soil level (ECO is most efficient). To prevent limescale: refill salt, use correct detergent/rinse aid dosage, ensure correct water softener level, and follow Care and Cleaning instructions.

Using Salt, Rinse Aid, and Detergent: Use only dishwasher-specific products. In hard water areas, use separate detergent, rinse aid, and salt. Detergent tablets may not dissolve fully on short programmes. Always use the correct detergent quantity; adjust based on water hardness. Use the correct rinse aid quantity; too much can leave bluish layers.

Stopping Multi-tablets: If switching to separate products, set water softener to highest level, ensure salt/rinse aid are full, run Quick programme without detergent, then adjust softener and rinse aid levels.

Before Starting: Ensure filters are clean, salt container cap is tight, spray arms are clear, salt/rinse aid are present, items are arranged correctly, programme matches load/soil, and correct detergent is used.

Loading Baskets: Use full basket capacity. Wash only dishwasher-safe items. Do not wash wood, horn, pewter, copper, aluminium, delicate porcelain, or unprotected carbon steel. Do not wash absorbent items like sponges. Place hollow items facing down. Ensure glasses do not touch. Put light/plastic items in the upper basket. Place cutlery and small items in the cutlery basket. Ensure spray arms can move freely.

Unloading Baskets: Let tableware cool before removing. Remove items from the lower basket first, then the upper basket.

Care and Cleaning

WARNING: Before maintenance (other than Machine Care programme), deactivate and disconnect the appliance. Dirty filters and clogged spray arms reduce washing performance.

Machine Care: A programme to clean the interior, removing limescale and grease. Start it when the indicator is on. Clean filters and spray arms first. Use a dishwasher-specific descaler or cleaner.

Internal Cleaning: Use a soft damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products, sharp tools, strong chemicals, or solvents. Wipe the door and rubber gasket weekly. Use a dishwasher-specific cleaner every two months.

Removal of Foreign Objects: Check filters and sump after each use. Remove foreign objects like glass, plastic, or bones manually. If unable to remove, contact an Authorized Service Centre.

External Cleaning: Use a moist soft cloth and neutral detergents. Do not use abrasive products or solvents.

Cleaning the Filters

The filter system has 3 parts. Turn filter (B) counterclockwise to remove. Remove filter (C) from (B). Remove flat filter (A). Wash all filters. Ensure no food residue is in the sump. Reassemble filters correctly. Incorrect filter position can cause poor washing results and damage.

Cleaning the Lower Spray Arm

Pull the lower spray arm upwards to remove. Wash under running water. Use a toothpick to clear blocked holes. Reinstall by pressing it down.

Cleaning the Upper Spray Arms

Pull out the upper basket. Turn the mounting element clockwise to detach the spray arm. Wash under running water, clearing blocked holes with a toothpick. Reinstall by fixing the mounting element counterclockwise.
