Introduction
Soothe your baby with the VTech® Sleepy Sloth Cot Light. Press the buttons to play soothing responses that calm your little one and send them into relaxation. Responses include 3 sing-along lullabies, 40 calming melodies & relaxing nature sounds. Choose between the two modes to play either music or sounds.
The VTech Sleepy Sloth Cot Light is a white, spherical baby product with a sloth illustration in the center. It features various buttons and indicators on its surface, including a strap for attachment. Key components labeled are: Sound Sensor, Attachment Strap, Light Projector, Timer Switch (OFF, 15 mins, 45 mins), Volume Up Button (+), Volume Down Button (-), Lullaby Mode Button, Nature Sounds Mode Button, Light Control Button, and Night Light.

WARNING: All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable tags, cable ties, cords, and packaging screws are not part of this toy and should be discarded for your child's safety.
NOTE: Please save this Instruction Manual as it contains important information.
WARNING! Attach this toy out of the reach of the child. To prevent possible injury by entanglement, remove this toy when the child starts trying to get up on its hands and knees in a crawling position.
Instructions: Battery Removal and Installation
- Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
- Locate the battery cover on the back of the unit. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and then open the battery cover.
- Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
- Install 3 new AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended.
- Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.
WARNING: Adult assembly required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of reach of children.

Important: Battery Information
- Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
- Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
- Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
- Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
- Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
- Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
Rechargeable Batteries
- Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging.
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
- Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
Disposal of Batteries and Product
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on products and batteries, or on their respective packaging, indicate they must not be disposed of in domestic waste as they contain substances that can be damaging to the environment and human health.
The chemical symbols Hg, Cd, or Pb, where marked, indicate that the battery contains more than the specified value of mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), or lead (Pb) set out in the Batteries and Accumulators Regulation.
The solid bar indicates that the product was placed on the market after 13th August, 2005.
Responsible Disposal
Please dispose of your product and batteries responsibly.

Notes on Attachment
- Always attach all provided fasteners (strings, straps, clamps, etc.) tightly to a cot or playpen according to the instructions. Check frequently. Attach only to cots with sturdy rails and spindles. Do not attach to play pens with mesh walls.
- Do not add additional strings or straps to attach to a cot or playpen.
- To ensure your child's safety, the product should be assembled by an adult.
- When removing the Cot Light from the cot, please detach the cot attachment straps from the unit, and keep the straps out of your child's reach.
Assembly Instructions
With the VTech® Sleepy Sloth Cot Light, safety comes first. To ensure your child's safety, adult assembly is required.
- Place the unit in the cot bringing the strap over the top rail. Slip the top of the strap under the slot on the back of the strap and secure.
- You can adjust the hanging height by choosing the appropriate hole on the strap.
- Pull slightly on the unit to make sure the strap has been securely fastened. The unit should be snug against the cot rail. Please check the unit frequently to ensure it is still secure.

Product Features
- OFF/15mins/45mins Switch: To turn the unit On, slide the switch to the 15mins or 45mins position. To turn the unit Off, slide the switch to the Off position.
- Volume Controls: To adjust the volume, press the Volume Down Button (-) or the Volume Up Button (+).
- Light Control Button: Press the Light Control Button to choose between the night light and the light projection.
- Sound Sensor: The VTech® Sleepy Sloth Cot Light is equipped with a special Sound Sensor. Once the set time is up, the unit will automatically shut off. The sensor will reactivate the program when it detects baby's cry for approximately 2 seconds without interruption. The unit will reactivate and play lullabies or nature sounds.

- Automatic Shut Off: To preserve battery life, the Sleepy Sloth Cot Light will automatically shut off after the timer has expired. The unit can be reactivated by pressing any button, or when baby cries.
NOTE: If the unit powers down while playing, we suggest changing the batteries.

- Lullaby Mode Button: Press the Lullaby Mode Button to hear sing-along songs, phrases, and soothing melodies. The projector will light up and the night light will glow.
- Nature Sounds Mode Button: Press the Nature Sounds Mode Button to hear soothing sounds. The projector will light up and the night light will glow.

Care & Maintenance
- Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
- Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
- Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
- Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.
Troubleshooting
If for some reason the program/activity stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:
- Please turn the unit OFF.
- Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
- Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
- Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play with again.
- If the product still does not work, install a brand new set of batteries.
