Getting Started

Activate Your R1

Power On the Device

Hold the button until the display turns on to power on the device.

Get Connected

Insert a nano-SIM card with a data plan to connect to a cellular network. Otherwise, follow the steps on the device to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

Activate R1

To activate your R1 and link it with your services, create a Rabbithole account at rabbit.tech/activate. You can come back to Rabbithole at hole.rabbit.tech any time to manage your connected services.

Discover the Basics

Using R1

To navigate menus, scroll the wheel. To make a selection, click the button.

Standby Mode

While on the home screen, press the button once to enter standby mode. Otherwise, R1 will enter standby mode automatically after a short period of inactivity. To wake the device from standby mode, press the button once.

Charge

To charge your device, connect it to any USB-C power adapter.

Troubleshoot

If the device becomes unresponsive, click the button 8 times in quick succession to shut down the device.

Memory Refresh

To perform a memory refresh, click the button 5 times in quick succession.

Access Settings

Shake the device at any time to view settings.

Ask for Anything

Using Voice

Push and hold the button to speak to your R1. When you're done speaking, release the button.

Search

Ask about anything, including stocks and weather. Try asking: "How's the weather in Santa Monica?"

Bidirectional Translation

Translate between two languages instantly. Try asking: "Translate from English to Spanish."

Voice Recording

Record voice notes and listen to them in Rabbithole. Try asking: "Start a voice recording for me."

Music

Ask for a song, artist, or album. Try asking: "Play Computer Love by Kraftwerk."

Using Vision

Double-click the button to activate the eye, then push and hold to ask about what you see. To flip the camera, turn the scroll wheel. Double-click again to exit vision.

Spreadsheet Editing and Transcription

Transcribe and edit tables or spreadsheets. Try asking: "Can you transcribe this table and add 500 to the counter column?" while in vision mode.

Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) Information

The SAR limit of USA (FCC) is 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. Device types: AI Companion (FCC ID: 2BFB4R1) has also been tested against this SAR limit. The highest SAR value reported under this standard during product certification for worn on the body is 1.316 W/kg. This device was tested for typical body-worn operations with the back of the handset kept 5mm from the body. To maintain compliance with FCC RF exposure requirements, use accessories that maintain a 5mm separation distance between the user's body and the back of the handset. The use of belt clips, holsters, and similar accessories should not contain metallic components in its assembly. The use of accessories that do not satisfy these requirements may not comply with FCC RF exposure requirements and should be avoided.

Body-worn Operation

This device was tested for typical body-worn operations. To comply with RF exposure requirements, a minimum separation distance of 5mm must be maintained between the user's body and the handset, including the antenna. Third-party belt-clips, holsters, and similar accessories used by this device should not contain any metallic components. Body-worn accessories that do not meet these requirements may not comply with RF exposure requirements and should be avoided. Use only the supplied or an approved antenna.

CE Maintenance

Be careful with headphones and earphones as excessive sound pressure may cause hearing loss. Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions. The product shall only be connected to a USB Type-C interface. Adapter shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible. EUT Operating temperature range: 0°C to 40°C. Adapter: Please use a power adapter that is compatible and complies with a CE certificate. Product Power Input: DC 5V/1A. The device complies with RF specifications when the device is used at least 5mm from your body. To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume for extended periods.

Restrictions of Use

This product may be used in the following European member states subject to the following restrictions. For products that operate in the frequency band 5.150 to 5.250 GHz, wireless access systems (WAS), including radio local area networks (RLANs), shall be restricted to indoor use.
