Armacost Lighting LED Touch Dimmer

Item # 511220

Product Overview

Provides full brightness control of low-voltage, white LED lighting with a touch of the finger. Works with both 12V DC and 24V DC LED lighting.

Important Information

  • For use only with 12V DC or 24V DC low voltage single color LED lighting. Do not connect this device to 120V AC current. For dry location use only.
  • Use only with 12V or 24V DC constant voltage standard electronic power supplies. Not compatible with magnetic power supplies or low voltage power supplies with 12V AC output.
  • Suitable for RV and boat interior applications (dry location). This device can be direct wired and powered by an on-board 12V or 24V battery.
  • All wiring must be in accordance with national and local electrical codes, low voltage Class 2 circuit. Contact a qualified electrician if unclear.
  • Shorter wire leads between the power supply, dimmer switch, and LED lighting result in brighter and more consistent lighting. Do not coil excess wire.
  • Maintain polarity (+ to +, – to –). Failure to observe polarity or shorting wires may damage the dimmer.
  • Use only insulated staples or plastic ties to secure cords and wires.
  • Route and secure wires to prevent pinching or damage.
  • For wire runs inside walls, use certified CL2 or better cabling and appropriate mounting hardware.
  • Do not install Class 2 low voltage wiring in the same runs as AC main power. If AC and low voltage wires cross, keep them at 90-degree angles.
  • Maximum load: 36 watts for 12V LEDs, 72 watts for 24V LEDs.

Operation

This device functions as an on/off switch for low voltage circuits. A quick touch turns the light on/off. Touch and hold to dim up and down.

Wiring Diagram Description: Illustrates the connection flow. A standard 12V or 24V DC power supply, connected to a 120V AC source, outputs DC power. This DC input connects to the LED Touch Dimmer Receiver's input (DC in). The dimmer's output (LED out) connects to the LED lighting (e.g., LED Tape Light or LED Puck Lights). A separate sensor cable is also shown. The diagram indicates connections for DC input (+/-) from the power supply and DC output (+/-) to the LED.

Dimensions: The device has physical dimensions of approximately 11/16 inch (17 mm) in width, 15/32 inch (12 mm) in height, and 9/16 inch (14 mm) in depth. The overall length, including connected cables, is approximately 2-9/16 inches (64 mm).
