- Dowels/Plugs (e.g., 101352, 121714)
- Cam lock fittings (e.g., 139456, 139457)
- Brackets (e.g., 102553)
- Wrench (131398)
- Various other connectors and small parts.
Assembly Instructions
Step 1: Connecting Side Panels
Attach the first side panel to the base panel, ensuring alignment. Use dowels and cam locks as indicated.
Step 2: Attaching Back Panel Supports
Insert supports for the back panels into the designated slots on the side panels.
Step 3: Connecting Second Side Panel
Attach the second side panel to the base and back panel supports, securing with dowels and cam locks.
Step 4: Inserting Dowels
Insert dowels (101352) into the pre-drilled holes on the side panels.
Step 5: Attaching Side Panels to Base
Connect the side panels to the base structure, ensuring they are flush. Use dowels and cam locks.
Step 6: Attaching Top Panel
Attach the top panel to the side panels, securing with dowels and cam locks.
Step 7: Sliding in Back Panels
Slide the two back panels into the grooves on the side and top/base panels.
Step 8: Securing Back Panels
Secure the back panels using screws (151706, 151705) into the pre-drilled holes.
Step 9: Attaching Cam Lock Fittings
Install cam lock fittings (139456, 139457) into the designated holes on the back panels.
Step 10: Assembling Leg Structure
Assemble the base leg structure by connecting the horizontal and vertical pieces using screws (100347) and brackets (102553).
Step 11: Attaching Leg Components
Connect the leg components to the main body of the unit.
Step 12: Connecting Leg Components
Further assemble and connect the leg components.
Step 13: Attaching Assembled Leg Structure
Attach the fully assembled leg structure to the bottom of the bookcase body. Use dowels (101352).
Step 14: Securing Leg Structure
Secure the leg structure to the bookcase body using long screws (104323) and the provided wrench (100001).
Step 15: Attaching Brackets
Attach brackets (102553) to the leg structure using screws (100347).
Step 16: Securing Brackets
Secure the brackets with cam lock fittings (131399, 157732).
Step 17: Attaching Top/Door Frame
Attach the top frame/door support structure.
Step 18: Installing Door Hinges
Install the door hinges (150688) onto the unit and doors.
Step 19: Adjusting Hinges
Adjust the door hinges for proper alignment and closure.
Step 20: Attaching Base Trim
Attach the decorative base trim pieces.
Step 21: Attaching Top Trim
Attach the decorative top trim pieces.
Step 22: Inserting Shelves
Place the shelves into the unit.
Step 23: Attaching Wall Mounting Hardware
Attach the wall mounting brackets (147968, 126916) to the top rear of the bookcase. Use appropriate wall anchors if needed.
Step 24: Attaching Shelf Supports
Insert shelf support pins (10075401, 10043847) into the desired shelf height positions.
Step 25: Inserting Shelves
Place the shelves onto the support pins.
Wall Mounting Instructions
Important: To prevent tip-over, this furniture MUST be permanently secured to the wall with the provided wall attachment device(s).
The supplied screws and plugs are suitable for most solid (A) and hollow (B) walls. For solid wood (C), use screws without plugs.
Wall Type Guide:
- Type A (Solid Wall): Use screws (Ø 8 mm / 5/16") directly into the wall or with appropriate anchors.
- Type B (Hollow Wall): Use screws (Ø 8 mm / 5/16") with wall plugs (e.g., 121714).
- Type C (Solid Wood): Use screws (Ø 3 mm / 1/8") without plugs.
If you are uncertain about your wall type or the correct fasteners, seek professional advice.
Diagrams show:
- Wall mounting bracket attached to the top rear of the unit.
- Marking the wall for drilling.
- Drilling holes and inserting anchors/plugs.
- Securing the unit to the wall with screws.
