Important Safety Instructions
CAUTION: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. DO NOT OPEN.
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not remove amplifier plate. No user serviceable parts inside. We recommend taking the unit to a qualified service technician for any repairs.
- Do not place these speakers on an unstable surface. The speaker may fall over, causing serious injury to a child or adult and serious damage to the unit.
- Do not use these speakers near water or expose them to rain or moisture.
- The speakers should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other devices that produce heat.
- Please use under specified voltage (120V/60Hz). Any other voltage than the specified voltage may cause fire or electric shock.
- To reduce the risk of electric shock or component damage, unplug the power before moving your speakers or connecting other components to your device.
- Clean only with a soft dry cloth. Unplug the main unit from the wall outlet before cleaning.
CAUTION: Always use a power outlet that is properly grounded.
Front Panel of Subwoofer
The front panel of the subwoofer features the following:
- 1. MIC: MIC 1 & 2 socket
- 2. Digital Display
- 3. 5.1/2.1: 5.1/2.1 function key
- 4. ST.BY: Standby function. Press for 3 seconds in AUX/USB/FM/BT/OPTICAL/COAXIAL/TV ARC mode.
- 5. VOLUME INPUT: Turn the knob to decrease or increase the volume. Input function key, switches among AUX/USB/DVD/FM/BT/OPTICAL/COAXIAL/TV ARC modes.
- 6. CH-/<<: "Previous" function key. Previous song when USB/SD input; Previous channel when FM input.
- 7. AUTO/>||: USB Pause/Play function key. In FM state, automatically searches and saves radio stations.
- 8. CH+/>>: "Next" function key. Next song when USB/SD input; Next channel when FM input.
- 9. SD/MMC CARD: SD card socket (max file size 64Gb)
- 10. U DISK: USB socket (max file size 64Gb)
Back Panel of Subwoofer
The back panel of the subwoofer includes:
- 1. Power input
- 2. Power switch (ON/OFF)
- 3. TV ARC audio input
- 4. Optical audio input
- 5. Coaxial audio input
- 6. FM antenna
- 7. AUX AUDIO INPUT: RCA to RCA or RCA to 3.5mm AUX audio input
- 8. DVD AUDIO INPUT: 3PCS RCA DVD audio input (front L&R/center/subwoofer/rear L&R)
- 9. AUDIO OUTPUT: Center speaker/Front L/R speakers/Rear L/R speakers audio output
Remote Control Functions
- Power: Power/Standby
- INPUT: Switch between input modes (USB/SD/FM/AUX/DVD/OPT/COA/TV ARC/BT)
- MUTE: Mute all output
- 5.1/2.1: Channel mode select
- SLEEP-/+: Setting the sleep time
- SAVE: Save stations to unit memory
- TUNE+/-: Manually tune FM stations
- >||: Play/Pause in USB/SD/BT modes
- AUTO: Automatic station search
- CH-/<<: Previous FM station/previous track (USB/SD)
- CH+/>>: Next FM station/next track (USB/SD)
- FL+/-: Front left speaker volume control
- FR+/-: Front right speaker volume control
- SW+/-: Subwoofer volume control
- CEN+/-: Center speaker volume control
- VOL+/-: Master volume control
- SL+/-: Rear satellite left speaker volume control
- SR+/-: Rear satellite right speaker volume control
- 0-9: Number pad for direct track selection in USB/SD mode
- REPEAT: Repeat one song/repeat all songs/shuffle
- RESET: Reset volume level
- MIC+/-(EQ+/-): Controls microphone volume. In USB/SD mode, navigates 5 preset EQ curves. Connecting mics overrides EQ function.
- ECHO+/-(DISP+/-): Controls echo effect for microphones. Controls display brightness when no mics are connected. Connecting mics overrides DISP function.
Note:
- Turn on the unit, press the "Power" button before selecting the input mode.
- If the remote control does not work, replace the batteries.
Best Placement for 5.1 Home Theater System
For optimal surround sound, position the speakers as follows:
- Center Speaker: Front, directly above or below the display.
- Front Left (FL) & Front Right (FR) Speakers: To the left and right of the display, angled towards the listening position (approx. 20-30 degrees from center).
- Surround Left (SL) & Surround Right (SR) Speakers: To the sides or slightly behind the listening position, angled towards the listening position (approx. 90-110 degrees from center).
- Subwoofer: Typically placed in a corner or along a wall for best bass response.
Set Up Center & Front & Rear Speakers
Center Speaker: Cable length: 157.48 inches
FL speaker: Cable length: 157.48 inches
FR speaker: Cable length: 157.48 inches
SL speaker: Cable length: 374.02 inches
SR speaker: Cable length: 374.02 inches
Connect the speaker cables to the corresponding outputs on the back of the subwoofer.
Mounting Instructions
Included: mounting brackets and screws.
Included: speaker cable (built-in).
Not included: wall hooks, screwdriver.
Ensure you have all necessary screws and brackets. There are five brackets and one bag of screws.
Vertical Installation: Use two screws to secure one bracket to the back of each speaker you wish to mount.
Horizontal Installation: Use two brackets with four screws for each speaker to mount the wall.
Wall Mounting Steps:
- Mark the wall for speaker placement.
- Use the placement diagram to determine the best location.
- Ensure FL & FR speakers and SL & SR speakers are at the same height.
- Keep speakers at least two feet away from corners to ensure sufficient wire length.
- You can use a screw or a mounting hook.
- For drywall, use a screw with a drywall insert. For studs, drive the screw directly into the stud.
- Use a stud finder to locate studs and ensure no wires or cable lines are present in the area.
- Mount the speakers.
System Connection Diagram
Verify your device has the necessary audio/video output jacks to connect to the subwoofer.
Connections:
- TV ARC/OPT/COA INPUT: Connect to TV or Projector via ARC, Optical, or Coaxial cable.
- AUX INPUT: Connect to PC, Computer, Phone, or MP3 player.
- DVD AUDIO INPUT: Connect to TV, VCD, or DVD player.
- AUDIO OUTPUT: Connect speakers to the subwoofer.
How to use the wireless BT
- Plug in the speakers and turn the subwoofer power ON.
- Press the "ST.BY" button.
- Press the "INPUT" button to select "BT" mode.
- Search for the Bluetooth device named "Bobtot B48".
- Connect to the Bluetooth device.
Note: If your BT device is below version 2.0, use password "0000" for connection.
How to connect your device by TV ARC Cable
- Plug the TV ARC cable into the ARC Input socket on the subwoofer and the other end into your TV's ARC slot.
- Ensure speakers are connected and the subwoofer is powered ON.
- Press "ST.BY" to select the mode.
- Press "INPUT" to switch to "ARC" status.
- TV Setting: Sound Output -> Select "TV ARC".
- TV Setting: Expert Setting -> Digital Output Audio Format -> Select "PCM".
Note: B48 ARC output supports LPCM 2.0 audio format only.
How to connect your device by Optical Cable
- Remove the protective cover from the Optical Cable before plugging in.
- Plug the Optical cable into the Optical Input socket on the subwoofer and the other end into your TV's optical slot.
- Ensure speakers are connected and the subwoofer is powered ON.
- Press "ST.BY" to select the mode.
- Press "INPUT" to switch to "OPT" status.
- TV Setting: Sound Output -> Select "Optical".
- TV Setting: Expert Setting -> Digital Output Audio Format -> Select "PCM".
How to connect your device by Coaxial Cable
- Plug the Coaxial cable into the Coaxial Input socket on the subwoofer and the other end into your device's coaxial slot.
- Ensure speakers are connected and the subwoofer is powered ON.
- Press "ST.BY" to select the mode.
- Press "INPUT" to switch to "COA" status.
- TV Setting: Sound Output -> Select "Coaxial".
- TV Setting: Expert Setting -> Digital Output Audio Format -> Select "PCM".
How to connect your device by RCA Stereo Audio Cable
- Plug the RCA Stereo Audio cable into the back of the subwoofer (White to White Connector, Red to Red Connector). Connect the other end to your device's L&R Output slots.
- Ensure speakers are connected and the subwoofer is powered ON.
- Press "ST.BY" to select the mode.
- Press "INPUT" to switch to "AU" status.
How to connect your device by 3.5mm to RCA Audio Stereo Cable
- Plug the RCA L/R Stereo Audio cable into the back of the subwoofer (White to White Connector, Red to Red Connector). Plug the 3.5mm AUX port into your device's Headphone Output slot.
- Ensure speakers are connected and the subwoofer is powered ON.
- Press "ST.BY" to select the mode.
- Press "INPUT" to switch to "AUX" status.
How to connect your device by 3RCA Audio Stereo Cable
- Plug the 3RCA Stereo Audio cable into the back of the subwoofer (White to White Connector, Red to Red Connector).
- Ensure speakers are connected and the subwoofer is powered ON.
- Press "ST.BY" to select the mode.
- Press "INPUT" to switch to "DV" status.
How to use FM radio by Antenna
- Plug the white Antenna cable into the back of the subwoofer.
- Ensure speakers are connected and the subwoofer is powered ON.
- Press "ST.BY" to select the mode.
- Press "INPUT" to switch to "FM" status.
- Long press "AUTO" for 3 seconds for automatic station searching.
- Press "TUNE+/TUNE-" to search for a station.
- Press "CH-/CH+" to select the broadcast channel.
- Press "SAVE" to save the radio channel.
Microphone for Karaoke
The B48 home theater system supports wireless or wired microphones (1 or 2 mics).
- Wireless microphone: Plug the mic receiver into the mic jack of the subwoofer.
- Wired microphone: Plug and play.
- Microphone Volume: Use the "MIC+/ MIC-" buttons on the remote.
- Microphone Echo Effect: Use the "ECHO+/ ECHO-" buttons on the remote.
