Vera Smart Home Advanced Training Course for Installers

Course Synopsis

Course Summary: This full day, hands-on training is for installers who have already undertaken the Vera Fundamentals course and wish to progress their understanding and knowledge. It will include advanced configurations, scene control and coding, along with in-depth explanation and analysis of popular Z-Wave applications.

Training Certificates: A training certificate will be provided after successfully passing each of the exercises staged throughout the day.

Course Duration: 1 day = 7 hours from 10am to 5pm including lunch break.

A brief recap of Z-Wave Technologies
The Vera Platform (differences, similarities, specifications and selecting the right unit)
Advanced Vera Setup (Ranging, Bridging multiple Vera units, Network Healing and Deployment)
Advanced Scenes - Part 1 (Multiple Triggers, Delayed Actions and Virtual Devices)
Climate Control (Thermostats, Ducted, Under Floor Heating and Sensors)
IP Cameras (Detailed Integration of IP Cameras)
Smart Locks (Overview, Set Up, Configuration and Scenes)
Advanced Scenes - Part 2 (Introduction to LUA/LUUP Coding and Conditional Scenes)

What to bring with you

Please bring your own laptop with power adapter – this is to allow you to complete the exercises in the hands-on part of the workshop. Please install the latest Chrome browser and Flash Player.
Please bring your smartphone (iPhone or Android) or tablet (iPad or Android) – this is to use the Vera user app during the exercises. Please download Vera App on your smartphone/tablet.

Prerequisites

Completion of Vera Fundamentals (or Z101 Fundamentals and Vera Gateway)
Completed and installed at least 3 Vera Home Automation Systems in real-world situations
