Product Overview
The Vortexgear Race 3 is a compact mechanical keyboard designed for laptop users. It features Cherry MX switches, 4 layers of programming, PBT DSA profile keycaps with dye-sublimated technology, and an anodized CNC-machined aluminum case with a narrow bezel. It includes a detachable micro USB cable.

Keyboard Layout and Operation
Default Keyboard Layout
The keyboard features a standard QWERTY layout. The image shows a compact keyboard with a variety of colored keycaps.
Switching Operating System (O.S.)
- Windows: Press Fn + W
- Mac: Press Fn + M
- Linux: Press Fn + L
- Note: For Windows, the Alt keys can be used interchangeably with the function keys (F1-F12). Some keys may require manual configuration. Caps Lock can be swapped with Left Ctrl.
Switching Keyboard Layout
- QWERTY: Press Fn + Home
- COLEMAK: Press Fn + PgUp
- DVORAK: Press Fn + PgDn
Spacebar LED Indicators
Left Side LED – Layer Switching
(Press Fn + Right Shift)
- Red: Layer 1
- Green: Layer 2
- Blue: Layer 3
- None: Default Layer
Right Side LED – Layout/Windows Lock
- Red: COLEMAK layout
- Green: DVORAK layout
- Blue: Windows lock enabled
- None: QWERTY layout (Default)
Additional Functions
- Programming Steps: For detailed programming instructions, please refer to the POK3R manual.
- Reset Current Layer Key-codes: Press Fn + R.
- Reset All Layers to Default: Press Left Alt + Right Alt.
- Swap Fn Key Position: Press and hold Fn + Left Alt for 3 seconds, then select the desired new Fn key location.
