Battery Overview

The KiloVault® HAB™ Series is a wall-mount energy storage system featuring a 7.5 Kilowatt-hour battery in a single unit. The system can accommodate up to 14 units for expanded capacity. The HAB Series is engineered for straightforward installation and seamless integration with other system components.

Critical Settings:

Note: Lithium batteries may feature internal BMS that can disconnect the battery from loads/electronics. While this may cause inconvenience, it will not damage MidNite Solar equipment.

* Absorb time varies by charge rate: 40 amps or less = 6 minutes; 40-60 amps = 4 minutes; 60-150 amps = 2 minutes (Classic MPPTs allow a minimum of 3 minutes).

** Float voltage adjustment aims for approximately 0 current in or out of the battery, allowing solar to power loads directly.

*** MidNite recommends setting EQ voltage and time to match Absorb voltage and time to prevent accidental damage or BMS disconnects during manual EQ initiation.

State of Charge

Using the WBjr with the charge controller allows for accurate SOC % display. It is recommended to set the Amp Hours per KiloVault capacity per string.
