USING YOUR APPLIANCE
Before using your Pro Smart Waffle Maker for the first time:
1. When using for the first time, wipe the surface of the plates with a damp cloth and dry.
2. As this appliance has non-stick plates it is not necessary to use added fats to grease the plates. However if you wish to, use a light smear of butter or oil on the plates.
3. Plug in the appliance to the power outlet on a clean, flat surface.
4. Prepare your waffle mix (use pre-made mix or create your own!)
How to use your Pro Smart Waffle Maker:
1. Make sure you have followed the steps outlined above.
2. Press power button and the LCD display will light up. Close the lid. With the lid closed, the waffle plates reach the desired cooking temperature quickly, and without energy loss.
3. Press the menu button to select the function and choose from the following functions: Belgian, Classic, Chocolate, Buttermilk or Custom.
4. Press the Crisp Exterior/Moist Interior button or Uniform Texture button to select desired texture.
5. Turn the dial to select roast colour grade from MIN to MAX. There are 7 variable roast colour grades to choose from. When you have selected a roast grade from 1-7, the waffle maker will begin to pre-heat and the roast colour grade will indicate on display (flash).
6. When the desired temperature has been reached it will sound one beep and the colour grade will stop indicating.
7. Put your waffle mix onto the plates and cover them fully. The appliance will start to work and the timer will start counting down from the selected program.
8. The calculated baking time is counted down on the LCD display. You simply wait until the acoustic signal sounds (6 beeps), indicating the end of the baking time. Then, check your waffles and take them out, when the desired consistency is reached. (The appliance keeps the waffle plates hot automatically, thus being ready for starting the next baking cycle immediately).
9. Check whether the food is finished to your liking - if not continue to cook again.
10. Take out food using a wooden tool - take care not to burn yourself.
11. After use unplug from power outlet and allow the plates to cool down completely before cleaning or storing away.
Please note: We recommend to select a program suited for the type of batter you are going to bake. If you are a new user, you should use the default settings of the selected program. Thereafter, step by step adapt the settings to your individual liking.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE
4 Pre-Set Programs:
You can select a pre-set program to cook your waffles. We recommend you to select a program suited for the type of batter you are using.
1. BELGIAN 2. CLASSIC 3. CHOCOLATE 4. BUTTERMILK
The programs calculate the required baking time for getting the desired results automatically. When the correct baking time is reached and the count-down of the baking time reaches zero, an signal sounds to indicate they are ready. Check if they are ready - if not close the lid again for some more seconds to increase baking time until done.
How to use the custom function:
Additionally, you can control the baking time manually via the program "CUSTOM". Select this program for monitoring the baking time by yourself. If you select the custom function, the waffle maker will begin to preheat. When the waffle maker has completed reheating. You can pour your waffle mix onto the plates. Once you do this the waffle maker will automatically display 00:00 to time the baking time, the user can press the POWER button to finish baking on their own.
Important: Please consider that the program "CUSTOM" may not give any signal for the end of baking. You must monitor the baking cycle by yourself and keep an eye on the baking time shown on the LCD display.
7 Browning Levels:
The browning is displayed in the upper part of the LCD display via 7 dashes: from "LIGHT" to "MAX". You select the browning via the browning control dial at the right side of the LCD display. Turn the browning control dial until the desired browning is displayed via the appropriate number of dashes.
Please note: You control the temperature of the waffle plates via the browning. When baking a batter with high contents of sugar or other heat-sensitive ingredients, it may be better to use a light browning level and a program with longer baking time, to avoid burning.

Press the texture button on the control panel to choose between the texture functions. The selected function is shown on the LCD display above the baking time. The appliance offers 2 texture functions for selecting the consistency of your waffles `CRISP EXTERIOR / MOIST INTERIOR' and 'UNIFORM TEXTURE'. CLEANING & CARE
Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
1. After each use, it's important to clean the appliance to prevent food residues from drying on the surfaces and turning into charcoal when the appliance is used again.
2. Before cleaning, always ensure that the appliance is unplugged and sufficiently cooled down (at least 30 minutes with the lid open). Clean the waffle plates using a soft sponge or cloth moistened with warm soapy water, taking care to prevent dripping.
3. Use a clean cloth to wipe with clear water. Additionally, wipe the exterior of the appliance and the power cord, if necessary. Then thoroughly dry the entire appliance.
4. Allow the appliance to air dry naturally for approximately 30 minutes, keeping it out of reach of young children and animals. Wash the measuring cup with warm soapy water, rinse with clear water, and thoroughly dry.
Please note: Do not use any abrasive cleaner or scouring pads on plates as this will damage the non-stick coating.
Cleaning stubborn residues:
Before reuse, lightly oil the non-stick surface. Apply oil to a clean towel, wipe the waffle plate, focusing on stained areas. Let residues soften (about 5 minutes), then gently loosen with a dry nylon brush if needed. Follow above cleaning instructions.
Please note: Certain types of batter may cause residues to stick to the non-stick coatings. However, avoid using hard objects to scrape the surfaces. Instead, follow these instructions for cleaning the waffle plates and overflow moat.
Storage:
Store the appliance on a stable surface, away from hazards and out of reach of children and pets. Avoid placing heavy objects on it. Use the lid handle when moving, ensuring it's securely locked with the latch. When upright, ensure stability to prevent tipping. After use, switch off, unplug, and clean the appliance. Before moving, lock the lid fully. Wrap the cord loosely for storage.
CAUTION: Ensure stability when storing appliance upright.
CAUTION: Do not use the power cord to carry the appliance. Handle power cords with care, avoiding knots, twists, pulls, or strains. Ensure no one pulls the appliance by the cord, and avoid letting it hang when moving or storing.
