- A) Installation: Install flares according to these written instructions with provided hardware. Failure to install as instructed invalidates the warranty, including use of alternative methods, hardware, or materials. DO NOT USE: Loctite, Superglue, or similar products on hardware or flares. Install on cleaned vehicle surfaces.
- B) Fitment: Verify flare fitment on the vehicle before installation. Some filing, sanding, or cutting may be necessary for proper fit.
- C) Painting: Optional. If painting, clean outer surface with a good grade degreaser (DO NOT USE LACQUER THINNER OR ENAMEL REDUCER). Wipe with a tack rag before painting. Use plastic adhesion promoter for ABS plastic as recommended by your paint system manufacturer. Paint with high-quality enamel or polyurethane automotive paint. For painting edge trim (not recommended), use a flex additive.
- D) Performance: Larger tires may increase turning radius. Some tire/rim combinations may require lowering bump stops or installing steering stops to prevent tire contact with flares.
- E) Exhaust System: Modifications may be needed for a minimum 4" clearance between flares and exhaust pipes. Exhaust gases should not vent directly onto flares.
- F) Metal Protection: Treat all exposed fasteners and bare metal with rust-resistant paint BEFORE installing flares. Spray inner fender wells with undercoating AFTER flare attachments are complete.
- G) Decals: Flares may interfere with existing decals. Remove decals prior to installation if desired.
- H) Care & Cleaning: Use any standard vehicle detergent for cleaning. Do not use harsh abrasive detergents.

Prior to installation, peel the protective liner from each plastic piece (flares and inner pieces). Note: It is difficult to remove liner once edge trim and hardware are installed. After liner removal, avoid scratching flare surfaces. Clean gently with a soft cloth if needed.
Section 1: Edge Trim Installation
Step 1: Peel 2-3 inches of red vinyl backing from the supplied edge trim tape. Apply the adhesive side of the edge trim to the inner side of the flare, affixing it to the top edge of the flare (the part that contacts the vehicle's side).
Press edge trim into place along the top edge of the flare in one-foot increments, pulling the red vinyl backing free as you work around the top edge. Trim the edge trim flush with the ends of the flare.
Section 2: Push-In Pocket Hardware Installation
Step 2: Peel the liner from the tape on the Push-In Pocket Hardware (brushed metal or black). Note: Extra hardware is provided.
Step 3: Insert Push-In Pocket Hardware into each flare pocket hole (8 places on each front flare, 9 places on each rear flare). Push in to engage the clip and tape adhesion.
Section 3: Front Flare Installation
Step 4: Using a T-15 Torx bit, remove 4 factory screws. Retain these screws for reinstallation.
Step 5: If your vehicle has factory mud flaps, remove factory screws from inside the wheel well securing the mud flap (some may be underneath). Remove the mud flap.
Step 6: If your vehicle does NOT have factory mud flaps, remove 2 screws from the mud guard as shown.
Step 7: Using a pry tool, remove 2 plastic fasteners from the underside of the mud guard. Remove the mud guard; a plastic clip inside will disengage.
Step 8: Install 2 supplied Short "U" Clips over the holes in the Inner Piece. The Driver Side Inner Piece is marked "LF"; the Passenger Side is marked "RF."
Step 9: Note the Inner Piece hole locations (driver side shown). The flat side of the clip should face down when installed in the wheel well.
Step 10: Install the Long Inner Piece onto the top underside lip of the fender using 2 factory screws through holes that do not have clips.
Step 11: Hold the flare firmly on the fender. Using a grease pencil, mark 1 hole location in the area shown in Step 12.
Step 12: Hole location identified.
Step 13: Peel the PSA liner from the supplied Mounting Tab. Center the Mounting Tab on the fender over the mark made in Steps 11-12, folding it over the fender lip.
Step 14: Slide a supplied Long "U" Clip over the Mounting Tab.
Step 15: Hold the flare on the fender and start a supplied #10 Truss Head Screw through the hole and into the clip installed in Step 14. Use an awl to locate and center the hole in the clip if needed.
Step 16: Install 1 factory screw through the lowermost rear hole in the flare and into the factory hole in the fender.
Step 17: Install 2 supplied #10 Truss Head Screws through the uppermost holes in the flare and into the clips installed in the Inner Pieces. Use an awl to locate and center holes in clips if needed.

Step 19: Apply pressure to the outward face of the flare towards the center of the vehicle and tighten all screws.

Step 23: If your vehicle does NOT have factory mud flaps, remove 2 screws from the rear trim piece as shown.
Step 24: Using a pry tool, remove 1 plastic retainer from the underside of the rear trim piece. There are 2 inner clips to disengage by pinching. Discard the trim piece.
Step 25: Using pliers, disengage the white clip at the underside of the front mud guard. Remove the front mud guard.
Step 26: Use a soft cloth or an alcohol wipe to clean the rear trim area at the rear of the wheel well.
Step 27: Hold the supplied Rear Rocker Trim Piece firmly on the fender, keeping the red tape leader free. Install a supplied Plastic Push-In Retainer through the upper part and into the fender.
Step 28: Insert a supplied Plastic Xmas Tree through the hole in the underside of the part and into the fender.
Step 29: Carefully pull the red tape leader at a 45-degree angle away from the part to release from the tape, pressing against the part as you go. Press the part against the vehicle at areas of tape for 30 seconds to ensure full adhesion. Tape cures after 24 hours at 65 degrees.
