FTI-CDP1 - Vehicle Coverage and Preparation Notes Make DL-CH8 RAM Model 1500 TIP Start Diesel Year 2018 Install Type 2 CAN CJB Lights Park / Auto Type B IGN BCM Hood I/O Changes BCM Green White/Blue Firmware: Covered vehicles use either BLADE-AL(DL)-CH8, confirm application, flash module, and update the controller firmware before installing. Install: Type 2 vehicles use the included CAN extension cable to source CAN data from the green CAN junction block (left side of the dash) or from the BCM (pin#25, CANH, brown, pin #26, CANL, yellow). Lighting: Type B parking lights use the 10-pin connector, secure unused 6-pin connector for safety. Ignition: Common ignition provisions are listed in the BLADE diagram, ignition is also available at the vehicle BCM (connector C5/E, pin #27, pink/white). Press UNLOCK on OEM remote. If the vehicle is not equipped with an OEM remote, press the module programming button. Wait, LED will flash BLUE once [1x]. Turn key to ON position. ON Wait, LED will turn solid RED. OFF Turn key to OFF position. Remove key. Insert key into ignition. Turn key to ON position. ON Wait, LED will flash BLUE. 12 13 WARNING: Disconnect power last. Disconnect RS from vehicle. Connect RS to computer and proceed with extended programming. 14 WARNING: Do not press RS programming button. Connect power first. Connect RS to vehicle. 15 16 17 Turn key to ON position. ON Wait, LED will turn solid BLUE for 2 seconds. OFF Turn key to OFF position. 18 19 START Turn key to START position. OFF Turn key to OFF position. 20 Module Programming Procedure completed.
