Operation
Power on/off
To power on, long press the [⏻] button for approximately 1.5 seconds. The boot interface will be displayed, followed by the riding interface.

To power off, long press the [⏻] button for approximately 2 seconds in any interface. The shutdown interface will be displayed before the unit powers off.

Riding Interface
The BC281 provides various styles of riding interfaces, which can be switched by clicking the [i] button.
1. Simple Mode
Displays key information such as battery indicator, light indicator, speed, assist level, and trip distance.

2. Sports Mode
Includes battery indicator, speed, assist level, trip distance, real-time speed, speed unit, real-time motor power, riding time, and calorie burnt.

3. Statistical Mode
Presents overall statistics including trip distance, trip time, average speed, max speed, calories burnt, odometer, assist level, battery indicator, real-time speed, and speed unit.

Assist Level Switch
Click the [+] or [-] buttons to switch assist levels. Press and hold the [-] button to enter push mode; release to exit.

Common error codes are listed below for reference. These may vary depending on other electrical components of the e-bike.

User Menu
To enter the user menu, long press the [i] button for 2 seconds on the riding interface when the e-bike is static (speed is 0).
In this interface, you can switch submenus by clicking the [+] or [-] buttons, and enter a submenu by clicking the [i] button.

1. Clear Data
Select "Trip Distance" and click the [i] button to enter. You can then clear the trip distance based on the interface prompts.

Note: This operation will also clear Trip Time, Max & Avg Speed, and Calories Burnt.

2. Factory Reset
Select "Factory Reset" and click the [i] button to enter. This will reset all parameters.

3. Setup
Access the setup menu to configure various functions.

(1) Auto Headlight
Select "Auto Headlight" and click the [i] button to enter the submenu. You can enable or disable the automatic headlight function.

(2) Set Unit
Select "Set Unit" and click the [i] button to enter the submenu. You can choose between Metric (Km) and Imperial (Mile) units.

(3) Set Brightness
Select "Set Brightness" and click the [i] button to enter the submenu. Use the [+] or [-] buttons to adjust the backlight brightness level in the range of 0-5.

(4) Set Auto Power-Off
Select "Auto Power-Off" and click the [i] button to enter the submenu. Use the [+] or [-] buttons to adjust the automatically power off time in the range of 0-99. A setting of 0 means the unit will not automatically power off.
