This manual provides instructions for setting up and using your Royal Sovereign RSB-1612 LED scrolling message sign.
Product Overview
The RSB-1612 is an LED sign capable of displaying scrolling messages. It connects wirelessly to a smartphone or tablet for easy message creation and control.
Visual Description: The product is a black rectangular LED display unit, capable of showing scrolling text. It is designed to be mounted using an included hang chain and hardware.
Setting Up Your Display Message Sign
Setup is designed to be simple and requires your Display Message Sign, a power adapter (included), and a compatible mobile device.
Required Devices:
- Android™ 4.0 device or later
- iOS device for iPhones, 4S or newer
iOS Devices Setup
- Step 1: Download App
On your mobile device, download and install the latest "Royal Sovereign" or "Scrolling Message" app from the Apple® App Store.
- Step 2: Enable Bluetooth
Ensure your Bluetooth setting on the iOS device is enabled ('ON').

- Step 3: Pair Device
a) Launch the app. Ensure the Display Message Sign is plugged into a power outlet. The sign may display a default message upon initial power-up.
b) Pair the Display Message Sign. Look for a device name starting with 'RG-BLE-12_4.xxxxx', followed by a 5-digit suffix number. This suffix helps identify individual signs if you have multiple units.
c) Enter the factory default password '000' when prompted, then press OK. If prompted for a pairing request, enter '000' or '1234'.

Note: The password can be changed to any 3-digit numeric number within the app.
- Step 4: Customize Message
Once paired, you can customize your Display Message Sign by creating messages or playlists within the app. Use the settings option to turn the sign ON/OFF or change your passcode.

Android Devices Setup
- Step 1: Download App
On your mobile device, download and install the latest "Royal Sovereign" or "Scrolling Message" app from the Google Play Store.
- Step 2: Enable Bluetooth
Ensure your Bluetooth setting on the Android device is enabled ('ON').

- Step 3: Pair Device
a) Launch the app. Ensure the Display Message Sign is plugged into a power outlet. The sign may display a default message upon initial power-up.
b) If the RSB-1612 is not yet connected to other devices via Bluetooth, it will be displayed on screen. Look for a device name starting with 'RG-BLE-12_3.xxxxx', followed by a 5-digit suffix number. This suffix helps identify individual signs if you have multiple units.
c) Select the displayed unit. Enter the Factory Default Password '000'. For a pairing request, enter '1234'.

Note: If a "Failed connection" message appears, close the app completely and try Step 3-b again. The password can be changed to any 3-digit numeric number within the app.
- Step 4: Customize Message

Resetting or Restoring Your Password
There is a green button located on the top left side of the display message sign. Press and hold this button for 5 seconds to reset the default password back to "000".
Note: Resetting your password only resets the password. Your messages and playlist will be maintained.
