Installing and Using the Product
Please read this manual carefully before operating your set and retain it for future reference. To view the instructions of advanced features, visit http://www.lg.com or scan the QR code and download the Owner's Manual. Some content may differ from your product.
Components:
- A: Soundbar
- B: Remote Control Receiver / Status Display
- C: Rear Speakers (Sold separately, SPT8-S)
- D: Wireless Subwoofer - Install it close to the soundbar.
- E: External Device - (Blu-ray player, game console, etc.)
Connections:
- Connect the soundbar to your TV via an optical cable or an HDMI cable.
- If using an external device (e.g., Set-top box, Blu-ray player, game console), connect it to the soundbar or TV via an HDMI cable. Purchase HDMI cables, an optical cable, or a USB extension cable if necessary.
- If rear speakers were purchased separately, connect them via a speaker cable. Connect the black striped cable to the negative terminal and the remaining cable to the positive terminal of each speaker.
- Connect to power in the following order: wireless subwoofer, rear speakers, Soundbar. Then, turn on the Soundbar. The LEDs on the wireless subwoofer and rear speakers will light up green when the connection is automatically established.
Using the product with your TV:
- Press the Function button repeatedly until "OPT/HDMI ARC" appears on the status display.
- On your TV's settings, set the output speaker to [HDMI ARC], [Optical], or [External Speaker].
- When the TV is properly connected, "OPT", "ARC", or "E-ARC" will appear on the status display with sound.
You can enjoy the sound by wirelessly connecting LG WOWCAST (Sold separately, WTP3) to the Soundbar.
Connecting the product to your smartphone via Wi-Fi:
- Connect your smartphone to Wi-Fi.
- Install the LG Soundbar app from Google Play or the App Store.
- Run the LG Soundbar app and follow the instructions.
- The product will connect to your smartphone, allowing control via the LG Soundbar app.
Connecting the product to your smartphone via Bluetooth:
- On your smartphone, tap the Settings button and select Bluetooth. Turn on the Bluetooth function. (Off > On)
- Press the Bluetooth pair button. "BT READY" will appear on the status display.
- Find and select "LG_Speaker_SG10TY_XXXX".
- When connected, the status display will show "PAIRED" → "Connected Bluetooth device name" → "BT".
Troubleshooting Wireless Connections:
If a red LED is visible on the wireless subwoofer or rear speaker, it indicates a disconnection from the soundbar. To reconnect:
- Turn off the soundbar by pressing the Power button.
- Press the PAIRING button on the back of the wireless subwoofer or rear speaker. Check if the LEDs blink green. If the red LED persists on the wireless subwoofer, press and hold the button on the back of the subwoofer again.
- Turn on the soundbar by pressing the Power button.
- A green LED will light up on the wireless subwoofer or rear speaker when the connection is established.
Important Note: Keep the soundbar, subwoofer, and rear speakers more than 1 meter away from devices like wireless routers or microwave ovens to prevent wireless interference. Some speakers may not produce sound depending on the input source. Select the BASS BLAST (BASS BLAST+) sound mode to ensure sound from all speakers.

WARNING:

Do not install this equipment in a confined space such as a bookcase or similar unit.
CAUTION:
- Do not use high voltage products around this product (e.g., Electrical swatter). This product may malfunction due to electrical shock.
- No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
- Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Slots and openings are provided for ventilation and to ensure reliable operation and protection from overheating. They should never be blocked by placing the product on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface. This product shall not be placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provided or the manufacturer's instructions have been adhered to.
- The Power Plug is the disconnecting device. In case of emergency, the Power Plug must remain readily accessible.
- The apparatus should not be exposed to water (dripping or splashing) and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, should be placed on the apparatus.
- For safety marking information, including product identification and supply ratings, refer to the main label on the bottom or other surface of the product.
For models using an adapter:
Only use the AC adapter supplied with this device. Do not use a power supply from another device or manufacturer, as it may cause damage and void your warranty.
For models using a battery:
This device is equipped with a portable battery or accumulator. CAUTION: Risk of fire or explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
For models using a built-in battery:
Do not store or transport at pressures lower than 11.6 kPa and at altitudes above 15,000 m.
- Replacement of a battery with an incorrect type that can defeat a safeguard (e.g., some lithium battery types).
- Disposal of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting of a battery, which can result in an explosion.
- Leaving a battery in an extremely high temperature surrounding environment, which can result in an explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
- A battery subjected to extremely low air pressure, which may result in an explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision. Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
If the appliance is supplied from a cord extension set or an electrical portable outlet device, ensure the cord extension set or device is positioned so it is not subject to splashing or moisture ingress.
RF Radiation Exposure Statement:
This equipment shall be installed and used at a minimum distance of 20 cm from the human body. The use of the 5.150 - 5.350 MHz and 5.945 - 6.425 MHz bands (if applicable) is restricted to indoor use only in Australia (AU) and New Zealand (NZ).
