Nice DOMI Series Transmitters

This document provides instructions and warnings for the installation and use of Nice DOMI series transmitters, including DOMIW, DOMIP, and MINIDOMI models.

Product Description and Application

The DOMI series transmitters are designed for controlling outdoor automation systems such as shutters, blinds, rolling shutters, or mixed Nice automation systems (scenarios). Any use other than that specified or in different ambient conditions is considered improper and strictly forbidden.

Components of the Transmitters

The DOMI range includes three families: DOMI W (wall-mounted), DOMI P (portable), and MINIDOMI. Each family has various models with different numbers of keys and features like a 'cursor' surface or a display.

Key components include:

  • A - Status indicator LED: Signals the automation status.
  • B - Command keys: Used for sending commands like open/close and stop.
  • C - Automation status request key: Retrieves the current status of the automation.
  • D - Group selection keys: Used on multi-key models to select the automation group.
  • E - 'Cursor' surface: Allows for simplified command sending on specific models.
  • F - Display: Shows the active group on the DOMIP18V model.
  • G - Partial position key: Used on the DOMIP18V for partial position commands.
  • H - Group selector: Allows group selection on the DOMIP18V.
  • P-S - Programming keys: Located on the back for programming procedures.
  • L-O - Climatic sensor activation/deactivation keys: Available on DOMIP1SV and DOMIP6SV models.

Using the Keys

  • Command Keys (B): Send open/close and stop commands. For multi-key models, select a group first.
  • Status Request Key (C): Press to view the automation's current state (open/closed).
  • Group Selection Keys (D): Select the automation(s) to control. At least one group must be programmed.
  • 'Cursor' Surface (E): Touch or slide for simplified commands. A prolonged press puts the transmitter in standby.
  • Display (F): Shows the selected group on the DOMIP18V.
  • Partial Position Key (G): Sends partial position commands on the DOMIP18V.
  • Group Selector (H): Selects the group on the DOMIP18V.
  • Programming Keys (P-S): Accessed from the back for programming. PRG speeds up access, ESC speeds up exit.
  • Climatic Sensor Keys (L-O): Activate/deactivate climatic sensors on specific models.

Transmitter Functions

DOMI transmitters are compatible with 'O-Code' (unidirectional) and 'BD' (bidirectional) radio codifications. The 'BD' system offers advanced features like command reception confirmation (LED indicator) and automation status feedback.

Transmitters are factory-configured in bidirectional mode. For coding changes, refer to the relevant section.

Memorization of the Transmitter

Transmitters can be memorized into the receiver using two methods:

Refer to the receiver's instruction manual for detailed procedures.

Status Request Procedure

Press the 'i' key to request the automation's status. The LED (A) or group key (B) will indicate the status:

Coding Change Procedure

This procedure allows changing between 'O-Code' and 'BD' codification. It resets the transmitter to factory settings. Follow the on-screen prompts by pressing PRG, ESC, and the up/down keys simultaneously.

Group Selection Procedure

For DOMIW6, DOMIP6, DOMIP6SV, MINIDOMI6, and DOMIP18V models, select a group before sending commands.

After sending a command, the group LED will flash orange and then indicate the result (green for success, red for failure).

Cancellation Procedures

These procedures apply to transmitters configured in bidirectional mode.

Follow the specific steps involving the PRG and ESC keys, and the group selection keys.

'Cursor' Surface

The 'cursor' surface on DOMIP1SV, DOMIP6SV, and DOMIP18V models allows simplified command sending. A brief touch or a slide sends commands. A prolonged press activates standby mode.

Climatic Sensor Activation/Deactivation

DOMIP1SV and DOMIP6SV models allow enabling or disabling climatic sensors. Use the '*' key for this function.

Sound Signal Activation/Deactivation

The sound signal (beep) can be activated or deactivated by pressing ESC and the down arrow key (for deactivation) or up arrow key (for activation) simultaneously.

Signals

Battery Replacement

Replace the battery when it is low or depleted. Follow the specific instructions for each model (DOMIW1, DOMIW1, MINIDOMI1, MINIDOMI6, DOMIP1, DOMIP1SV, DOMIP6, DOMIP6SV, DOMIP18V) using the correct battery type (e.g., CR2450, AAA) and observing polarity.

Product Disposal

Dispose of the product and its batteries according to local regulations. Do not discard with household waste due to potential pollutant content. Contact local authorities for proper recycling or disposal methods.
