Important Safety Instructions
When using telephone equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury:
- Read and understand all instructions.
- Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product.
- Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
- Do not use this product near water.
- Do not expose the telephone to direct sunlight or extreme cold. Do not place near heating sources.
- Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords.
- Unplug this product and refer servicing to VTech/distributor if the power cord is damaged, the product does not operate normally, has been dropped, or exhibits a distinct change in performance.
- Avoid using a telephone during an electrical storm.
- Do not use the telephone to report a gas leak.
- Use only the supplied NiMH batteries.
- Do not use other battery types or non-rechargeable batteries.
- Do not use third-party charging bays.
- Note the correct polarity when inserting batteries.
- Batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat or immersed in water.
- Use only the specified VTech power supplies and batteries.
Disposal of Old Equipment and Batteries (WEEE)
These symbols indicate that used electrical and electronic products and batteries must not be mixed with general household waste. Take them to applicable collection points for treatment, recovery, and recycling in accordance with national legislation.

Product Warranty: One-year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. Return to place of purchase or VTech Electronics Europe Plc with proof of purchase. Warranty void if product is damaged due to misuse, modification, unauthorized repair, faulty batteries, or incorrect connections. Warranty is personal and non-transferable. LCD screen breakages are not covered. Pack returned products carefully without batteries or adaptors.
Note: This warranty is valid for the UK and Ireland only. For products purchased outside these regions, contact your local distributor.
Setup
Connect the base / charger
Follow the numbered steps in the diagram to connect the base/charger.
Install the battery
Step 1: Open the battery compartment cover.
Step 2: Insert the battery with the correct polarity (this side up).
Step 3: Replace the battery compartment cover.
Charge the battery
Place the handset on the base or charger to charge the battery.
Note: 1 x charger set for CS2001, 2 x charger set for CS2002, 3 x charger set for CS2003.
Settings
Set language
Navigate: HS Settings > LANGUAGE. Select from English, Deutsch, Français, Italiano, Español, Nederlands.
Set date or time format
Navigate: HS Settings > DATE & TIME. Select Date Format (DD-MM-YY or MM-DD-YY) and Time Format (12 HR / 24 HR).
Set date & time
Navigate: HS Settings > DATE & TIME > Set Date or Set Time. Enter the date and time.
Ringer - external calls
Navigate: HS Settings > Ring Setup > Ext. Ring. Select a melody.
Ringer - internal calls
Navigate: HS Settings > Ring Setup > Int. Ring. Select a melody.
Ringer - volume
Navigate: HS Settings > Ring Setup > Ring Volume. Adjust the volume.
Tone - set key tone on/off
Navigate: HS Settings > Tone Setup > Key Tone. Choose On or Off.
Tone - set alert tones on/off
Navigate: HS Settings > Tone Setup. Choose Battery Tone or Out of Range. Choose On or Off.
Alarm - set alarm time and activation
Navigate: HS Settings > Alarm. Set time, choose Snooze On or Off.
Set the auto answer
Navigate: HS Settings > Auto Answer. Choose On or Off.
Phonebook
Navigate: Phonebook > All Contacts > Add. Enter Name and Number. Select a melody.
Nuisance and Unwanted Call Blocker
Add a call block entry
Navigate: Call Blocker > Black List > ADD. Enter Name and Number.
Block unknown calls
Navigate: Call Blocker > Settings > Call Type. Select Unavailable (Withheld number), INTERNAT'L (International number).
Block modes:
- OFF: Feature is off. All calls ring normally.
- BLOCK ALL: No ring for all calls.
- ALLOW WLIST: Ring for numbers in the White List only.
- BLOCK BLIST: Ring for all calls except numbers in the Black List.
Call types to block: WITHHELD (Withheld number), INTERNAT'L (International number), UNAVAILABLE (Unavailable number), PAYPHONE (Payphone number).
