Preface

Thank you for purchasing a SinoTrack GPS tracker. This manual provides detailed instructions on how to operate the device smoothly. Please read this manual carefully before using the device. Note that any updates to the manual will be made without prior notice and released with the latest product sales. The manufacturer assumes no legal responsibility for any errors or omissions in this manual.

1 Summary

Operating on the GSM/GPRS network and GPS satellites, this product can locate and monitor any remote targets via SMS, APP, and the Internet. It utilizes the most advanced GPS and AGPS dual positioning technology.

3. GSM SIM Card Installation Guide

Note: Only GSM SIM cards work in this model. If using a 3G or 4G card, ensure it has GSM functionality. Please use a SIM card without a PIN code.

Supported SIM Card Types: Normal SIM, Micro SIM, Nano SIM.

3. Turn On The Device

• Open the rubber cover and insert the SIM card with the chip facing up. The indicator light will turn on when the SIM card is inserted.
• The device obtains GPS location when a GPS signal is available and LBS location when there is no GPS signal.
• The device automatically turns off when the SIM card is removed.

4. SMS Tracking

Note: A blank space is required in the SMS command.

4.1. Tracking via SMS: Call the SIM card's phone number in the tracker to receive a Google Maps link of the position, or send the message 6690000 to the tracker's SIM card phone number.

4.2. Admin Number Setting

Command: [phone number]+[password]1 (This is your own mobile phone number, not the tracker's SIM card number).

Reply: SET OK!

Example: 132657901800000 1

Voice Monitor: Send command 66 to the GPS Tracker from the control number. The tracker will call back to this control number.

When the unit is in an over-speed alarm, shake sensor alarm, or low battery alarm, it will send an alert to the admin number (e.g., 13265790180).

Admin Number Canceling:

Command: D101#

Reply: SET OK!

4.3. Over-speed Alarm Setting

Command: 1220000070 (Set speed limit to 70 km/h)

Reply: SET OK!

When the unit's speed exceeds 70 km/h, it will send a "speed alarm!" message to the admin number every 5 minutes.

Over-speed Alarm Canceling:

Command: 12200000

Reply: SET OK!

4.4. Shake Alarm Setting

Command: 1810000T10

Message Reply: SET OK!

Note: Keep the tracker stationary for 5 minutes for this function to work. The tracker will send "Shock alarm!" via SMS to the admin number when the unit is shocked.

Shake Alarm Canceling:

Command: 1800000

Reply: SET OK!

4.5. Take off Alarm Setting (Factory default is ON)

Command: TAKEOFF0000 1

Message Reply: SET OK!

Note: The device has an anti-removal induction sensor on the back. If this sensor is covered again, it will send "Take off Alarms!" to the admin number and SOS number via SMS.

Take off Alarm Canceling:

Command: TAKEOFF0000 0

Reply: SET OK!

4.6. Device Working Mode Setting

1. WORK - Keep working mode: (7 days per 10000mAh)
   Command: WORK0000
   Reply: SET OK!
   (The tracker will continuously work and send data at time intervals.)
2. MOVE - Work when the tracker is moving: (30 days per 10000mAh)
   Command: MOVE0000
   Reply: SET OK!
   (Factory setting is “MOVE” mode.)
   (The tracker only operates when moving. When stopped, it enters sleep mode, shutting off GPS and using GSM in low-consumption mode. Vibration, SMS commands, or calling the tracker can wake it up to work for 5 minutes.)
3. STANDBY - SMS or Call to tracker: it will work for 5 minutes. (120 days per 10000mAh)
   Command: STANDBY0000
   Reply: SET OK!
   (In standby mode, GPS is off, GSM operates in low-consumption mode. SMS and calls can wake the tracker to work for 5 minutes.)

4.7 Terminal (local) Time Setting (Factory setting GMT 0)

Command: 8960000E00

Reply: SET OK!

4.8 Reset Hardware

Command: RESET

Reply: SET OK!

4.9 Read Configure Data

Command: RCONF

Reply: Displays the tracker's ID, work mode, IP and Port, and APN.

5. Explanation of Parameters/Codes in SMS Message

The SMS message provides tracker settings:

• ST-915: The model of the tracker.
• ID:6180127780: The ID of the GPS Tracker.
• UP:0000: The password for SMS.
• U1:,U2:,U3:: The control numbers.
• MODE: GPRS-MOVE: GPS work mode.
• DAILY:OFF, GEO FENCE:OFF, OVER SPEED:OFF, VOICE:ON, SHAKE ALARM:OFF, SLEEP:ON: Status of the tracker.
• APN: Internet APN of the SIM Card.
• IP:45.112.204.242:8090: The IP and Port of the tracker.
• GPRS UPLOAD TIME:30: The GPS time interval.
• TIME ZONE:0.0: The time zone of the tracker.

6. Start Online Tracking

Each SIM card carrier has its own APN content. You can find APN content by checking the SIM card carrier's website or by inserting the SIM card into a mobile phone.

SMS: 8030000 APN (APN is Access Point Name. Check with your SIM Card provider if unsure.)

Example for MTN SIM in South Africa:

APN name: internet
APN username: [blank]
APN password: [blank]

Send SMS to set APN: 8030000 internet

If the APN requires a username and password, send the command: SMS: 8030000 APN APNuser APNpassword

Example for Tesco mobile SIM in UK:

APN name: prepay.tesco-mobile.com

APN password: password

7. Notices

1. GPS tracking works outdoors.
2. Ensure the GSM SIM card supports calls, SMS, and GPRS network.
3. Ensure the GSM SIM card has sufficient balance.
4. Ensure the GSM card has call display enabled and call transfer turned off.
5. Insert the GSM phone card correctly.
6. Do not assemble or disassemble the device arbitrarily.
