LEDone LOC-PT Series Installation Guide
Model: LOC-PT Series
Safety Instructions
Read instructions carefully before attempting to install fixture.
- All wiring should be performed by a qualified electrician.
- Disconnect power before installing or servicing. This fixture must be wired in accordance with the National Electrical Code and applicable local codes and ordinances.
- Proper grounding is required to ensure personal safety.
- This fixture is for outdoor use and should not be used in areas with limited ventilation or high ambient temperatures.
CAUTION: Risk of fire
WARNING: Make certain power is OFF before installing or maintaining fixture. No user serviceable parts inside.
Cleaning & Maintenance
CAUTION: Be sure the fixture temperature is cool enough to touch. Do NOT clean or maintain while the fixture is energized.
- Clean glass lens with non-abrasive cleaning solution.
- Do NOT open fixture to clean the LED. Do NOT touch the LED.
Note: These instructions do not cover all details or variation in equipment, nor do they provide for every possible situation during installation, operation or maintenance.
Troubleshooting
- Check that the line voltage at fixture is correct. Refer to wiring directions.
- Check that the fixture is grounded properly.
Pole Mounting
- Make the wiring connections with UL approved connectors. Knot the wires for strain relief.
- Tenon pole adaptor can fit tenon with 3" or 2 3/8" diameter. Slip tenon pole adaptor over tenon and secure the fixture to the tenon.
- For 3" tenon, use the shorter (3/8") tenon set screw.
- For the 2 3/8” tenon, use the longer (7/8”) tenon set screws.
Installation
Diagram Description: The fixture head attaches to a pole via a tenon adaptor. The head consists of a housing, three rods, housing wires, and a tenon pole adaptor. Housing wires are fed through rods, which screw into the housing. Fixture wires pass through the tenon pole adaptor, which slides onto the rods. A rubber mat is placed on the adaptor, and set screws secure the adaptor to the rods.
- Feed the (3) housing wires through one of the three rods.
- Screw the top of (3) rods into the housing. Be sure the housing clips are properly engaged onto the rods.
- Feed fixture wires through the tenon pole adaptor.
- Slide tenon pole adaptor on the 3 rods. Be sure the notches face the inside of the tenon pole adaptor.
- Put the rubber mat onto the adaptor.
- Tighten the (3) set screws at the tenon pole adaptor to secure rods.
Wiring
Universal voltage driver permits operation at 100V through 277V, 50/60Hz except for fixtures that factory ordered with a 120V photocell (/PC).
Standard Wiring
- Connect the BLACK fixture lead to the (+) LIVE line supply wire.
- Connect the WHITE fixture line to the NEUTRAL line supply wire.
- Connect the GREEN fixture line to the supply ground.
0-10V Dimmable Wiring
Universal voltage driver permits operation at 120V through 277V, 50/60Hz. For 0-10V dimming, follow the wiring instructions below.
Diagram Description: The 0-10V dimming wiring diagram illustrates the connections between the power supply and the light fixture. It specifies how to connect the LINE, COMMON, DIM V+, DIM V-, and GROUND wires from the fixture to the corresponding supply leads. A YELLOW wire is indicated for Vaux 12V (auxiliary power).
Connection Mapping:
- (+) LINE supply lead connects to BLACK fixture lead.
- (-) COMMON supply lead connects to WHITE fixture lead.
- Supply ground connects to GROUND wire from fixture. DO NOT connect the GROUND of the dimming fixture to the output.
- (V+) DIM lead connects to PURPLE fixture lead.
- (V-) DIM lead connects to GRAY fixture lead.
- The driver comes with dimmable leads. If it is unused, make sure the leads are properly capped (if applicable).
Note: A YELLOW wire is present for Vaux 12V, which is an auxiliary voltage output from the driver.
