TV turns off suddenly: Check power control settings, auto-off function activation (e.g., 15 minutes of inactivity).
Abnormal Display: Tiny black/colored dots (1 ppm) are normal for OLED panels and do not indicate malfunction. Variations in brightness/color due to viewing angle are characteristic of OLED panels. Temporary distortion effects may occur from touching the screen.
Generated Sound: Cracking noise from plastic thermal contraction and low-level humming/buzzing from the switching circuit are normal and do not affect performance.
Always Ready/Sensor Issues: Ensure motion sensor is clean and environment is suitable. Adjust sensor sensitivity in settings.
Precautions for Protecting the OLED TV Screen
OLED TVs use self-emissive pixels, offering perfect blacks but are susceptible to image retention (burn-in) if static images are displayed for extended periods. This is a characteristic of OLED technology.
Images likely to cause image retention:
- Images with black bars (e.g., 4:3, 21:9 aspect ratios).
- Static elements like channel numbers, logos, game icons, or set-top box menus.
Recommendations for Minimizing Image Retention:
- Use
[Auto Power Save]
mode and lower[OLED Pixel Brightness]
. - Set
[Adjust Logo Brightness]
to [High] via[General] > [OLED Care] > [OLED Panel Care]
. - Use zoom functions (
[Vertical Zoom]
or[4-Way Zoom]
) to remove black bars. - Turn off device menus when not in use.
Note: Screen brightness may automatically reduce for fixed images to minimize retention; it restores when content changes.
Running [Pixel Cleaning]
This feature automatically runs when the TV is off (if connected to power) to prevent image retention. It can also be run manually via [General] > [OLED Care] > [OLED Panel Care] > [Pixel Cleaning]
.
