Coolpad Belleza Quick Start Guide

Introduction

Welcome to your Coolpad Belleza mobile phone. This guide provides essential instructions for optimal use. Features may vary by region or hardware. For self-service and more information, visit the official Coolpad Americas website at www.coolpad.us.

Device Layout

The Coolpad Belleza features the following components:

• Receiver
• Headset jack
• Volume key
• Notification key
• Left soft key
• Send key
• Navigation key (up/down/left/right)
• Camera key
• USB port
• Contacts key
• Messages key
• Right soft key
• End key
• OK key

Charging the Battery

1. Plug the microUSB connector into the phone's USB port.
2. Connect the USB cable to the AC adapter.
3. Plug the AC adapter into an electrical outlet.
4. After charging, unplug the AC adapter and remove the USB cable.

Turning Your Phone On and Off

To Turn On: Press and hold the End key until the phone powers on and the Home screen is displayed. Enter the screen lock code if set.

To Turn Off: Press and hold the End key, then select the OK key.

SIM Card Installation

Follow these steps to insert your SIM card:

1. Open the back cover.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Insert the Nano SIM card.
4. Insert the microSD card (sold separately).

Home Screen and Status Bar

The Home screen is the main starting point for your phone's applications and functions.

Status Bar

The status bar at the top of the Home screen displays phone status and notification information. Key icons include:

Phone Calls

Placing a Call

1. From the Home screen, press any number to access the Phone screen.
2. Enter the phone number using the keypad.
3. Press the Send key to initiate the call.
4. To end the call, press the Right soft key or the End key.

Answering a Call

When a call arrives, the incoming call screen displays caller information.

• Answer: Press the Left soft key or the Send key.
• Reject: Press the Right soft key or the End key.

Messages

Send and receive text messages (SMS) and multimedia messages (MMS).

Sending a Text Message

1. From the Home screen, press the OK key to access the apps list, then select Messages.
2. On the Messages screen, press the Left soft key and select New message.
3. Enter recipients.
4. Compose your message in the "Send message" field.
5. Select Send to transmit the message.

MMS allows sending pictures, voice recordings, audio, or video files.

Camera

Taking a Photo

1. From the Home screen, press the OK key to access the apps list, then select Camera.
2. Aim the camera at your subject.
3. Press the OK key to capture the photo.

Recording a Video

1. From the Home screen, press the OK key to access the apps list, then select Camera.
2. Press the right Navigation key to switch to video mode.
3. Press the OK key to start recording.
4. Press the Left soft key to pause recording.
5. Press the OK key again to stop recording.

Gallery

View photos and videos taken with the camera, downloaded, or copied to storage. Basic editing (rotate, crop) is available. Photos can be set as wallpaper or contact photos.

Viewing Photos and Videos

1. From the Home screen, press the OK key to access the apps list, then select Gallery.
2. Select an album (e.g., Camera).
3. Select an image or video to view. Use the Left soft key for options like editing or sharing.

Sharing Photos and Videos

1. From the Home screen, press the OK key to access the apps list, then select Gallery.
2. Select the album containing the desired photos/videos.
3. Select the photos or videos to share.
4. Press the Left soft key, select Share, then choose Messages or Bluetooth.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi provides wireless internet access up to 300 feet, requiring a wireless access point. Signal range depends on infrastructure and obstructions.

Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network

1. From the Home screen, press the OK key to access the apps list.
2. Select Settings > Device > Data usage and Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi.
3. Press the OK key to turn Wi-Fi on.
4. Select a network, enter the password if required, and select Connect.

Note: Once connected to a secured network, the password is saved unless the phone is reset or the network is forgotten.
