Safety Information

Restrictions

WARNING

  • Use only the Roborock charging dock AED08HRR or SPCDZ03RR (with Roborock power adapter BLJ18WD200080P-V, BLJ18WD200080P-S or BLJ18WD200080P-B) for charging the battery.

  • Turn off the product and unplug it before cleaning or maintenance.

  • The charging dock can only be used for charging the robotic vacuum cleaner equipped with a 14.4 V/3200 mAh (TYP) lithium-ion battery.

CAUTION

  • Use the product only as instructed. The user is responsible for loss or damage caused by improper use.

  • Do not use this product as a toy. Exercise extra caution when used near children.

  • Before cleaning, ensure the dustbin, washable filter, side brush, mop pads, main brush, and main brush cover are in place.

  • Do not use the product to clean hard or sharp objects (like decorative items, glass, and nails) to avoid scratching the robotic vacuum cleaner, charging dock, or floor.

  • Do not sit or stand on the robotic vacuum cleaner or charging dock.

  • To prevent corrosion or damage, do not use any disinfectants; use only the cleaning solution recommended by Roborock.

  • Do not place low-lying objects (e.g., shoes, rugs) near elevated areas like stairs. Otherwise, the robotic vacuum cleaner may fall due to sensor malfunction.

  • To prevent water damage, ensure the floor being vacuumed is dry.

  • Do not use this product on elevated areas without railings, such as lofts, open terraces, balconies, or furniture tops.

  • Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of the body and pets away from the product's joints, openings, and moving parts to prevent injury.

  • Do not use the product in a room where infants or children are sleeping.

  • Do not carry the robotic vacuum cleaner by its vertical bumper, top cover, side brush, or bumper.

  • Do not use the product to vacuum burning or smoking items, such as cigarettes, matches, hot ashes, or flammable or explosive items like lighters, gasoline, or toner used in printers or copiers.

  • Place the charging dock on a hard, level floor. Keep the charging dock, robotic vacuum cleaner, and power cord away from fire and heat sources like radiators. Avoid damp, narrow spaces, or places where the robotic vacuum cleaner might hang in the air.

  • Do not place any objects on or cover the robotic vacuum cleaner or charging dock (even with a dust cover).

  • If the product is damaged in any way, do not use it. Contact customer service.

  • Always use the device in well-ventilated areas to prevent overheating.

  • Roborock is not responsible for indirect, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from use, misuse, or inability to use this product. This disclaimer does not affect statutory rights that cannot be excluded under applicable laws.

  • Do not wash the vacuum cleaner or charging dock with water.

  • If your home's water hardness exceeds 14 °dH (250 mg/l CaCO3), it is recommended to use only filtered or softened water to prevent appliance damage.

  • CAUTION: Do not rely solely on the cliff sensor; always set a no-go zone for all stairs in the app.

  • CAUTION: Do not use the mopping function on water-sensitive floors (e.g., parquet, untreated wood or laminate floors) to avoid damage.

  • CAUTION: Before cleaning (manual or scheduled), check the floor for objects that the robotic vacuum cleaner might suck up. Such objects can damage the main brush or other parts of the appliance.

Battery and Charging

CAUTION

  • Ensure the power voltage meets the requirements specified on the charging dock.

  • To prevent smoking, overheating, or fire, use only the battery, charger, power cord, charging dock, and accessories supplied with the product.

  • Do not discard the depleted battery. Take it to a specialized collection point.

  • If the charging dock is located in an area with frequent thunderstorms or unstable voltage, take appropriate protective measures.

  • If the product will not be used for an extended period, store it in a cool, dry place after fully charging, disconnecting from the power supply, and turning it off. Recharge it at least once every three months to prevent deep discharge of the battery.

  • Before transporting the product, disconnect the charging dock from the power supply, turn off the robotic vacuum cleaner, and empty the water tank. It is recommended to use the original packaging.

Low Power Mode

  • When the robotic vacuum cleaner is in the charging dock, press and hold the [Power Button] for 10 seconds to activate low power mode. To deactivate low power mode, press and hold the [Power Button] until the LED indicator lights up.

Installation

Important Information

  • 1. Clear the floor of cables, hard or sharp objects (e.g., nails and glass), and loose items. Simultaneously, move any unstable, fragile, valuable, or hazardous items to prevent personal injury or property damage due to entanglement, collision, or tipping over by the vacuum cleaner.

  • 2. When using the vacuum cleaner on an elevated surface (e.g., a multi-story house), always use a physical safety barrier to prevent accidental falls that could result in personal injury or property damage.

    Notes:

    • For the first use, monitor the vacuum cleaner throughout the cleaning process and watch for any issues. It will be able to clean itself on subsequent uses.

    • To prevent excessive dirt buildup on the mop, floors should be vacuumed at least three times before the first mopping.

B1 Charging Dock Placement

  • Place the charging dock on a hard, level surface against a wall. Connect the adapter to the charging dock and tidy up excess cable. Ensure the location is within Wi-Fi signal range for better mobile app functionality. Plug the adapter into the electrical outlet and check that the status indicator is lit.

  • B1-1: More than 1.5 m (4.9 ft) clearance on sides.

  • B1-2: More than 0.5 m (1.6 ft) clearance in front.

Notes:

  • Maintain at least 0.5 m clearance on both sides and 1.5 m in front of the charging dock.

  • If the power cord hangs vertically to the ground, it may get caught by the robotic vacuum cleaner, causing it to move or disconnect the charging dock. Store excess cable in the storage compartment.

  • The charging dock must not be exposed to direct sunlight or anything that could block the dock's position indicator, otherwise the vacuum cleaner may not return to the dock.

B2 Moisture-proof Mat Installation

  • After securing the charging station in place, clean the area where the moisture-proof mat will be placed with a dry cloth. Remove the double-sided adhesive tape from the bottom of the moisture-proof mat and attach the mat to the floor.

Notes:

  • Always place the moisture-proof mat on wooden floors.

  • If necessary, slowly peel off the double-sided tape to minimize adhesive residue.

  • Moisture-proof mats adhere best to smooth surfaces.

B3 Powering On and Charging

  • Before use, remove the anti-collision strips on both sides of the robotic vacuum cleaner and the protective film from the charging contacts on the front and back of the robotic vacuum cleaner. Press and hold the [Power Button] to turn on the robotic vacuum cleaner. Wait for the power indicator to turn solid white, then place the robotic vacuum cleaner in the charging dock. The robotic vacuum cleaner is equipped with a built-in high-performance rechargeable lithium-ion battery. To maintain good battery performance, keep the robotic vacuum cleaner charged.

Notes:

  • The robotic vacuum cleaner cannot be turned on if the battery is depleted. In this case, place the robotic vacuum cleaner in the charging dock to charge it.

  • The robotic vacuum cleaner cannot be turned off while charging.

B4 Starting the Mopping Process

  • Note: To prevent excessive dirt buildup on the mop pads, floors should be vacuumed at least three times before the first mopping cycle.

  • B4-1: Remove the integrated dustbin and water tank unit, open the water tank cover, and fill the tank with tap water before reinstalling the cover. Do not immerse the unit directly in water.

  • B4-2: Moisten the mop pads and wring them out so they no longer drip. Attach the mop to the mop pad holder and secure it in place.

  • B4-3: Align the positioning hole and install the mop pad holder onto the bottom of the integrated unit.

  • B4-4: Place the integrated unit back into the robotic vacuum cleaner.

Notes:

  • Use only cold water to prevent deformation.

  • Do not rinse or immerse the integrated dustbin and water tank unit in water.

  • To prevent damage, do not use any disinfectants; use only the cleaning solution recommended by Roborock.

  • Moisten the mop pad and wring it out until it stops dripping. Place the mop pad on the holder and press it firmly to ensure a good fit. Empty the water tank immediately after mopping.

  • All integrated units are tested for water presence before leaving the factory. It is normal for a small amount of water to remain in the unit.

App Connection

1. Download the App

  • Search for the "Roborock" app in the App Store or Google Play, or scan the QR code to download and install the app.

    Scan this QR code with your smartphone to download the Roborock app from the App Store or Google Play.

2. Reset Wi-Fi

  • Turn on the robotic vacuum cleaner and press and hold the [Power Button] and [Home Button] simultaneously for three seconds until you hear the voice prompt "Entering Wi-Fi configuration mode." Resetting is complete when the power indicator starts blinking white slowly. The robotic vacuum cleaner will then wait for connection.

Notes:

  • If you cannot connect to the robotic vacuum cleaner due to router configuration, forgotten password, or other reasons, reset Wi-Fi and add the robotic vacuum cleaner as a new device.

  • To disconnect Wi-Fi, reset Wi-Fi and ensure it has been successfully reset. Then wait. After 5 minutes, Wi-Fi will automatically deactivate. To reconnect, reset Wi-Fi before proceeding.

3. Add Device

  • Open the Roborock app, tap the "Add Device" or "+" icon, and add the device following the in-app guide.

Notes:

  • The actual procedure may vary depending on the latest app updates. Follow the in-app instructions.

  • Supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only.

User Guide

Powering On/Off

  • Press and hold the [Power Button] on the vacuum cleaner to turn it on. The power indicator will light up, and the vacuum cleaner will enter standby mode. Press and hold the [Power Button] to turn off the vacuum cleaner and complete the cleaning cycle.

Note: The vacuum cleaner cannot be turned off while charging.

Starting Cleaning

  • Press the [Clean Button] to start cleaning. The vacuum cleaner will plan a cleaning route and, in each room, will first clean the edges and then proceed in a S-shape through the room. This ensures thorough and efficient cleaning of all rooms.

Notes:

  • Before cleaning, remove cables (including the charging dock's power cable) and valuables from the floor. Loose items can be dragged by the vacuum cleaner, potentially causing disconnection of electrical appliances or damage to cables and property.

  • Before starting each cleaning session, ensure the mop pads are installed correctly.

  • To ensure the vacuum cleaner automatically returns to the dock, start it from the dock and do not move the dock during cleaning.

  • If the battery level is too low, cleaning cannot start. Charge the vacuum cleaner before starting.

  • The robotic vacuum cleaner will dock onto the mop pads and vacuum the carpet. You can also set the carpet as a no-go zone in the app.

Pausing

  • While the robotic vacuum cleaner is cleaning, press any button to pause cleaning, and press the [Home Button] to resume. Press the [Home Button] on the paused robotic vacuum cleaner to send it back to the charging dock.

Note: Manually placing the robotic vacuum cleaner into the charging dock while paused will end the current cleaning session.

Sleep Mode

  • If the vacuum cleaner is idle for more than 10 minutes, it will enter sleep mode, and the power indicator will blink every few seconds. Press any button to wake the vacuum cleaner.

Notes:

  • The robotic vacuum cleaner does not turn off during charging.

  • The robotic vacuum cleaner will automatically turn off if it remains in sleep mode for more than 12 hours.

Charging

  • After cleaning is complete, the robotic vacuum cleaner will automatically return to the charging dock to charge. During cleaning, the robotic vacuum cleaner will return to the charging dock if the battery level is low. Press the [Home Button] to send a paused robotic vacuum cleaner back to the charging dock. The power indicator will blink while the robotic vacuum cleaner is charging.

Note: If the robotic vacuum cleaner cannot find the charging dock, it will automatically return to its starting position. In this case, manually place the robotic vacuum cleaner near the charging dock so it can charge.

Error

  • If an error occurs, the power indicator will start flashing red. A pop-up notification will appear in the app, and an audible alert may sound.

Notes:

  • The robotic vacuum cleaner will automatically enter sleep mode if it remains inactive for more than 10 minutes.

  • Manually placing an inactive robot into the dock will end the cleaning process.

Do Not Disturb (DND) Mode

  • The default Do Not Disturb (DND) time is from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. You can change or disable the DND time in the app. In DND mode, the robotic vacuum cleaner will not play voice messages.

Restoring Factory Settings

  • If the robotic vacuum cleaner is unresponsive after pressing a button or cannot be turned off, turn it on, then press and hold the [Power Button] for five seconds. After the voice prompt, press and hold the [Power Button] for another five seconds. The robotic vacuum cleaner will restart and restore factory settings.

Note: Existing settings such as scheduled cleaning and Wi-Fi will be restored after this process.

Regular Maintenance ⚙️

C1 Main Brush

  • Clean every 2 weeks and replace every 6-12 months.

  • C1-1: Turn the vacuum cleaner over and press the two latches inward to remove the main brush cover.

  • C1-2: Remove and clean the main brush.

  • C1-3: Reinstall the main brush and main brush cover, and press the cover firmly.

Notes:

  • It is recommended to wipe the main brush with a damp cloth. If the main brush is wet, let it air dry away from direct sunlight. Do not use harsh cleaning liquids or disinfectants to clean the main brush.

C2 Side Brush

  • Clean monthly and replace every 3-6 months. Unscrew the side brush screw. Remove and clean the side brush. Then reattach the brush and tighten the screw.

C3 Vacuum Cleaner Sensors

  • Clean as needed. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth and clean all sensors, including:

  • C3-1 Dock Locator

  • C3-2 Drop Sensors

Note: Do not use any chemicals, such as cleaning liquids or sprays, to clean these sensors.

C4 Omni-directional Wheel

  • Clean as needed. Use a tool, such as a small screwdriver, to release the axle and remove the wheel. Rinse the wheel and axle with water to remove any hair and debris. Let them air dry, then reassemble and push the wheel and axle back into place.

Note: The omni-directional wheel holder cannot be removed.

C5 Main Wheels

  • Clean as needed. Clean the main wheels with a soft, dry cloth.

C6 Integrated Dustbin and Water Tank Unit

  • Clean as needed.

  • C6-1: Press the release button to remove the unit.

  • C6-2: Open the unit cover, empty the dustbin, and clean it.

  • C6-3: Open the water tank cover and empty the tank.

  • C6-4: Reinsert the unit into the robotic vacuum cleaner.

Note: After mopping, empty the water tank, wash the mop pads, and air dry them to prevent odors.

C7 Mop Pad

  • Clean monthly and replace every 3-6 months.

  • C7-1: Remove the mop pad holder in the direction shown in the diagram.

  • C7-2: Remove the mop pads from the holder.

  • C7-3: Wash the mop pads and then let them air dry.

C8 Washable Filter

  • Clean every 2 weeks and replace every 6-12 months.

  • C8-1: Open the lid of the integrated dustbin and water tank unit as shown, press the filter holder latches, and pull out the filter holder.

  • C8-2: Remove the filter from the holder, rinse it multiple times, and tap it to remove as much debris as possible.

C8-3: Before reinstalling the filter, let it air dry thoroughly for at least 24 hours.

Note: Do not touch the filter surface with your hands, brushes, or sharp objects to avoid damaging it.

C9 Charging Contacts

  • Clean as needed. Wipe the charging contacts of the vacuum cleaner and dock with a soft, dry cloth.

Most Common Problems

Problem Solution
Vacuum cleaner won't turn on. Battery level is low. Place the vacuum cleaner on the charging dock and charge it. Battery temperature is too low or too high. Use the robotic vacuum cleaner only within the temperature range of 4°C - 40°C.
Vacuum cleaner won't charge. The charging dock is not plugged into the electrical outlet. Ensure both ends of the power cord are properly connected. Poor contact. Clean the charging contacts of the charging dock and the robotic vacuum cleaner. Battery temperature is too low or too high. Use the robotic vacuum cleaner only within the temperature range of 4°C - 40°C.
Cannot return to dock. Too many obstacles near the dock. Remove obstacles or move the dock to a location with sufficient clear space around it. The vacuum cleaner is too far from the charging dock. Move it closer and try again.
Unusual operation. Restart the robotic vacuum cleaner.
Cannot connect to Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is turned off. Restore Wi-Fi and try again. Weak Wi-Fi signal. Move the robotic vacuum cleaner to an area with a better Wi-Fi signal. Abnormal Wi-Fi connection. Restore Wi-Fi, download the latest app version, and try again. Cannot connect to Wi-Fi. There might be an error in the router settings. Contact customer service for assistance.
Robotic vacuum cleaner disconnected. Check if the robotic vacuum cleaner is connected to the Roborock app and within Wi-Fi range.
Vacuum cleaner is noisy during cleaning. The main brush, side brushes, or main wheels may be jammed. Turn off the robotic vacuum cleaner and clean the individual parts. The omni-directional wheel may be jammed. Use a screwdriver to remove and clean it. Check for any jammed objects around the mop module.
Poor cleaning efficiency / dust falling out. Check if the robotic vacuum cleaner is connected to the Roborock app and within Wi-Fi range. The filter is clogged and needs cleaning. Hair is tangled in the main brush. Clean the main brush.
Scheduled cleaning not working. Keep the robotic vacuum cleaner charged. Scheduled cleaning can only start when the battery level is above 15%. Ensure the vacuum cleaner is not in DND mode. DND mode prevents automatic charging.
Cleaning does not resume after charging or manual repositioning. Ensure the vacuum cleaner is not in DND mode. DND mode prevents automatic charging. If you manually place the vacuum cleaner on the charging dock or send it to the dock using buttons, it will not be able to resume cleaning.
Slow charging. When used in high or low temperatures, the vacuum cleaner will automatically reduce charging speed to extend battery life. Charging contacts may be dirty. Wipe them with a dry cloth.
Energy consumption occurs whenever the vacuum cleaner is in the charging dock? The vacuum cleaner consumes energy even when in the dock to maintain good battery performance, but energy consumption is minimal.
Does the vacuum cleaner need to be charged for at least 16 hours for the first three uses? No. Lithium-ion batteries do not have a memory effect. You can use the vacuum cleaner after it is fully charged.
Vacuum cleaner started missing some spots. The wall sensor or drop sensors may be dirty. Wipe them with a soft, dry cloth.
No water or very little water is used during mopping. You can increase the water flow rate using the mobile app. Ensure there is water in the water tank and refer to the user manual for instructions on correctly installing the integrated dustbin and water tank unit, mop pad holder, and mop.
Robotic vacuum cleaner cannot return to the charging station after spot cleaning or manual repositioning. After spot cleaning or significant repositioning, the robotic vacuum cleaner will regenerate the map. If the charging dock is too far away, the robotic vacuum cleaner may not return to charge and must be manually placed on the charging dock.
