MOMAX PINTAG Find My Tracker

Introduction

The MOMAX PINTAG is a compact item tracker designed to help users locate their belongings using Apple's Find My network. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, and maintenance.

Product Overview

The PINTAG consists of:

• PC Shell: The outer casing of the device.
• Insulation Spacer: A thin film that prevents battery contact before first use.
• Battery: A replaceable CR2032 lithium 3V coin battery.
• Metal Cover: The removable cover for battery access.

Instruction for Use

Product Setup

1. Ensure your Apple device (iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch) runs iOS 15.0 or iPadOS 15.0 or later, with Apple ID two-factor authentication enabled.
2. On your Apple device, enable Bluetooth. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services, then scroll down and tap "Find My," allowing location access and enabling "Precise Location."
3. Open the Find My app and select the "Items" tab.
4. Tap "Add Item," then "Add Other Items."
5. Once the PINTAG is found, press "Connect" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Setup Lost Mode

When the tracker is a certain distance from your host device, you can mark it as lost to aid in recovery.

1. In the Find My app, tap "Items" at the bottom of the screen, then select the lost item's name.
2. Under "Lost Mode," tap "Enable."
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter a phone number or email address where you can be reached.

Note: Ensure notifications for the Find My app are allowed.

See Your Tracker on the Map

1. Open the Find My app and tap the "Items" tab.
2. Choose the tracker you wish to locate from the list.
3. If the tracker is within range of your device or detected by the Find My network, its location will appear on the map with an updated timestamp.
4. If the tracker is not within range of your device or any Find My network devices, its last known location and timestamp will be displayed. To be notified when it's found, enable "Notify When Found" under Notifications.

Play a Sound

1. Open the Find My app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, then tap the "Items" tab.
2. In the items list, select the tracker that should play a sound.
3. Tap "Play Sound." If the tracker is within Bluetooth range, it will emit a sound.
4. To stop the sound before it ends automatically, tap "Stop Sound."

Anti-stalking Features

The PINTAG includes features designed to prevent unwanted tracking:

• If a PINTAG or other Find My network accessory product that is not yours moves with you for a period, you will receive a notification on your Apple device via the Find My app. You can then observe its route and duration.
• These features are specifically built to prevent unknowing tracking attempts. If you feel your safety is threatened, contact local law enforcement.

Important: This product should not be used to track people without their consent or property that does not belong to you. Unauthorized tracking is a crime in many countries and regions.

Replace the Battery

The PINTAG uses a CR2032 lithium 3V coin battery.

1. Press down on the polished metal cover and rotate counterclockwise to open.
2. Remove the old battery and insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive side facing up. A prompt tone will confirm successful connection.
3. Replace the cover, aligning the three tabs on the cover with the three slots on the tracker. Rotate the cover clockwise until it stops.

Product Reset

1. After installing the battery, immediately remove it upon hearing the prompt tone. Repeat this operation 5 times. A different prompt tone will indicate the reset is complete, allowing the tracker to be added to a new device.
2. If the tracker is not working properly, ensure it's ready for setup, remove and replace the battery, bring it closer to the device, or reset it before attempting to connect again.

4. Do not allow water or any other liquid to flow into the product's interface, as this will cause damage.

8. In case of overheating, stop using the product.

Warranty Conditions

1. For any defect caused under normal use, MOMAX Technology Ltd. is responsible for free repairs for 12 months from the purchase date, at their discretion.
2. A valid warranty card and original purchase invoice must be presented for warranty service.
3. This warranty card will not apply if:
   • It has been explicitly modified or repaired by unauthorized persons.
   • It has been damaged through misuse, malicious acts, negligence, liquid inflow.
   • Losses or damages are caused by force majeure or natural disasters.
4. No alteration to this warranty card is allowed.
