General Power Tool Safety Warnings
WARNING! Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
Use and handling of the cordless electrical power tool:
- Charge a rechargeable battery unit using only the charger recommended by the manufacturer. Using other types of chargers may cause fire.
- Only use the supplied rechargeable battery units with an electrical power tool. Using other batteries may lead to injury or fire.
- When not in use, store battery units away from metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, or screws that could bridge the contacts. Short-circuiting can cause heat damage or fire.
- If misused, fluids may leak from battery units. Avoid contact with the fluid. If contact occurs, flush the affected area with water. Seek medical help if fluid gets into eyes. Escaping fluid may cause skin irritation or burns.
CAUTION! RISK OF EXPLOSION! Never charge non-rechargeable batteries. Protect the rechargeable battery from heat (sunlight, fire, water, moisture) as there is a risk of explosion.
Extended safety guidelines:
- Do not use a damaged or modified battery. Damaged batteries may behave unexpectedly, causing fires, explosions, or injury.
- Do not expose a battery to fire or excessive temperatures. Temperatures over 130°C (265°F) can cause an explosion.
- Follow all charging instructions and never charge the battery or tool outside the specified temperature range. Incorrect charging can destroy the battery and increase fire risk.
