Geberit Typ 240 Installation Manual
This document provides detailed instructions for the installation of the Geberit Typ 240 flush valve.
Product Overview
The Geberit Typ 240 is a flush valve designed for cisterns. This manual covers the installation process for various configurations.
Languages included: English, German, French, Italian.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Preparation
Refer to the diagram for initial assembly of the flush valve components. Ensure all parts are present before proceeding.
Step 2: Mounting the Valve
Insert the flush valve into the cistern. Secure it using the provided components as illustrated.
Step 3: Water Level Adjustment
Ensure a minimum clearance of 20 mm from the valve to the cistern wall and the water surface (WL). The diagram shows the correct positioning and water level.
Water Level Adjustment Table:
Cistern Height (X) [mm] | Adjustment Level |
---|---|
202-208 | 12 |
209-215 | 11 |
216-222 | 10 |
223-229 | 9 |
230-236 | 8 |
237-243 | 7 |
244-250 | 6 |
251-257 | 5 |
> 258 | 5 |
Step 4: Adjusting Height (H1)
The height (H1) of the flush valve can be adjusted based on the cistern dimensions. For a cistern diameter of Ø40 mm, H1 = H. For a cistern diameter of Ø20-38 mm, H1 + 24 mm = H.
Step 5: Final Assembly
Complete the installation by attaching the cistern lid and any remaining components as shown in the diagrams.
Step 6: Height Adjustment Table (H [mm])
This table provides the correct adjustment level based on the required height (H) in millimeters.
Height (H) [mm] | Adjustment Level |
---|---|
304-313 | 21 |
314-320 | 20 |
321-327 | 19 |
328-334 | 18 |
335-341 | 17 |
342-348 | 16 |
349-355 | 15 |
356-362 | 14 |
363-369 | 13 |
370-376 | 12 |
377-383 | 11 |
384-390 | 10 |
391-397 | 9 |
398-404 | 8 |
405-411 | 7 |
412-418 | 6 |
419-425 | 5 |
426-432 | 4 |
433-439 | 3 |
440-455 | 2 |
Step 7: Final Checks
Verify all connections are secure and the water level is correctly set. The diagram indicates a successful installation with a checkmark.
Step 8: Cistern Hole Sizes
The installation requires specific hole sizes in the cistern. For the flush valve, a Ø40 mm hole is typically needed. For other components, a range of Ø20-38 mm may be required.
