Important Safety Information
Precautions for Use:
- Low-power radio frequency devices should not affect the safety of aircraft or interfere with legal communication devices. If interference is detected, discontinue use immediately until interference ceases. Legal communication devices are those operated under the Telecommunications Management Act. Low-power radio frequency devices must withstand interference from legal communication devices or ISM radio frequency radiation devices.
- The rating plate and important safety information are located as follows: See Figure A.
- Do not place the product in confined spaces, such as a bookshelf or built-in cabinet.
- Do not expose the battery (battery pack or built-in battery) to high temperatures such as direct sunlight, fire, or similar heat sources for extended periods.
- Do not expose the battery to extremely low temperatures, as this may cause overheating and leakage.
- Do not disassemble, open, or cut the secondary battery.
- In case of battery leakage, avoid contact of battery fluid with skin or eyes. If contact occurs, rinse the affected area with plenty of water and consult a doctor.
- Charge the secondary battery before use. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions or the device's user manual for the proper charging method.
- After prolonged storage, it may be necessary to charge and discharge the secondary battery several times to achieve maximum performance.
- Dispose of properly.
Charging the Device
- Use a USB Type-C cable and a commercially available USB AC adapter.
- Connect the USB AC adapter to the device using the USB Type-C cable, then connect the USB AC adapter to the AC outlet.
- This device has been tested and complies with the limitations for using cables shorter than 3m as stated in the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulations.
General Precautions:
- Do not place the product in locations with high humidity, dust, smoke, steam, or in high-temperature areas such as near fire or inside vehicles exposed to direct sunlight.
- Using the device at high volumes may adversely affect your hearing.
- Do not use the device while walking, cycling, or driving, as it may cause traffic accidents.
- Do not use in hazardous areas unless you can hear surrounding sounds.
- The device is not waterproof. If water or foreign objects enter the device, it may cause fire or electric shock. If this happens, stop using it immediately and consult your nearest Sony dealer. Be especially careful in the following situations:
- Using the device near sinks or containers of liquid.
- Avoid dropping the device into sinks or water containers.
- Using the device in rain or snow, or in wet locations.
- Using the device while sweating. If you touch the device with wet hands or put the device in a damp cloth bag, the device may get wet.
- For detailed information on the effects of mobile phones or other wireless devices connected to this device on the human body, refer to the user manual of the wireless device.
- Do not plug in the USB connector when the device or charging cable is wet. Plugging in the USB connector when the device or charging cable is wet may cause a short circuit due to liquid (tap water, seawater, fresh water, etc.) or foreign objects on the device or charging cable, leading to abnormal heat generation or malfunction.
- This product contains magnets and may interfere with pacemakers, defibrillators, and programmable shunts for treating hydrocephalus or other medical devices. Do not place this product near persons using any medical devices. Consult your doctor before using this product if you are using any of the medical devices mentioned above.
Note on Static Electricity
If you use the device in a dry air environment, you may experience discomfort due to static electricity accumulated on your body. This is not a malfunction of the device. You can reduce the effect by wearing clothing made of natural materials that are less prone to static electricity.

BLUETOOTH® Signal Transmission
- Microwaves emitted from Bluetooth devices may affect the operation of electronic medical devices. Accidents may occur, so turn off this device and other Bluetooth devices in the following locations: In hospitals, near priority seating on trains, in areas with flammable gas, near automatic doors, or near fire alarms.
- The audio playback on this device may be delayed compared to the audio playback on the transmitting device due to the characteristics of wireless Bluetooth technology. Therefore, the audio may not be synchronized with the images when watching movies or playing games.
When Charging the Device
- After charging is complete, disconnect the USB Type-C cable.
- When connecting the USB cable, do not apply excessive force to the connection part.
- When connecting or disconnecting the USB cable, do not apply excessive force, such as pulling the cable, and connect or disconnect the connector straight in line with the port.
- If the USB cable connector is deformed, such as bent, stop using it immediately.
Using the Device While Charging
- If liquid such as water or sweat, or foreign matter such as dust adheres to the USB Type-C cable or USB port, charging the device may cause serious accidents such as burns, injuries from fire, electric shock, heat generation, or ignition, or may cause damage. Please pay attention to the following information when using the device while charging. If you feel anything unusual, stop using it immediately. Ensure there is no dust or foreign matter inside. If the cable or port is wet with liquid such as drinking water or sweat while charging, disconnect the USB cable from the connected device to stop charging (Figure B).
Notes When Wearing the Device
- After use, remove the headset slowly.
- Since the headset fits snugly against your ears, applying strong pressure to your ears or removing the headset too quickly may damage your eardrums. When wearing the headset, the speaker diaphragm may emit a “click” sound. This is not a malfunction.
Other Notes
- When using the device as wired headphones, use only the supplied headphone cable. Ensure the headphone cable is securely connected.
- When unplugging the cable, grasp the plug and pull it out, do not pull the cable directly. Otherwise, the cable may break.
- When plugging in the cable, ensure the plug is fully inserted into the jack. If the plug is not fully inserted into the jack, sound may not be output.
- Do not subject the device to strong impacts.
- Do not press or apply force to the device for extended periods, even during storage, as this may cause deformation.
- If you feel discomfort while using the device, stop using it immediately.
