Safety Instructions

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users. All safety instructions must be closely followed when using the appliance.

This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by children unless they are over 8 years old and are under supervision. Keep this appliance and its power cable out of reach of children under the age of 8.

Check the power cable regularly for visible damage. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Cecotec Technical Support Service or similar qualified personnel to avoid risks.

⚠️ This symbol means “Caution, Hot Surface”. Accessible surfaces are likely to heat up during use.

This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.

WARNING: the filling opening must not be opened during operation.

WARNING: take precautions to avoid spillage of liquids on the cable.

WARNING: incorrect or improper use can be dangerous for the user and damage the appliance. Use the appliance only for the purposes described in this manual. The surface of the heating element is subject to residual heat after use.

Ensure that the mains voltage matches the voltage specified on the appliance rating label and that the plug is earthed.

Do not immerse the cable, plug, or any other non-removable part of the device in water or any other liquid or expose electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the device.

Do not twist, bend, pull, or damage the power cable. Protect it from sharp edges and heat sources. Do not allow the cable to touch hot surfaces. Do not let the cable hang over the edge of the working surface or worktop.

Turn off and unplug the appliance from the mains supply when not in use and before cleaning it. Pull from the plug, not the cable, to disconnect it from the outlet.

Place the appliance on a dry, stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.

Do not use the appliance under the following circumstances:

  • On or near a gas or electric hob, in heated ovens, or near open flames.
  • On soft surfaces (such as carpets) or where it may tip over during use.
  • Outdoors or in areas with high humidity levels.
  • Do not wash the appliance in dishwashers.

Maintain a minimum safety distance of 20 cm to the sides and 30 cm on top of the appliance when in operation.

Do not place the appliance under cabinets or kitchen furniture, as the steam emitted may damage them.

Do not overfill the portafilter.

Do not operate the appliance without water.

Never use the appliance without a suitable container under the coffee spout.

Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the appliance. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is being used by or near children.

NOTE: The graphics in this manual are schematic representations and may not exactly match the device.

Before Use

This appliance is packaged to protect it during transport. Remove it from its box and keep the original packaging for future use. Ensure all parts and components are present and in good condition. Remove any stickers or protective film from the appliance. Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface with at least 10 cm of free space around it. This appliance is not suitable for built-in installation or outdoor use.

Operation

Control Panel

Refer to Figure 2 for button functions:

  • Small cup: Use this button to prepare a short espresso.
  • Medium cup: Use this button to prepare a medium espresso.
  • Large cup: Use this button to prepare a large espresso.

First Use

Before using the appliance for the first time, or after a long period of inactivity, rinse the internal pipes. Press any button to switch on the appliance. The indicator lights will stop flashing when the machine has finished preheating (approx. 35 seconds).

Before rinsing, ensure:

  • The pods compartment is empty and the cover is closed.
  • The water tank is full.
  • The water tank is correctly installed.
  • A large container (at least 250 ml) is placed under the spout.

Open the cover and empty the container after rinsing.

Adapters

The coffee machine includes the following adapters:

  • Nespresso pods adapter
  • Dolce Gusto pods adapter
  • K-Fee pods adapter
  • Ground coffee adapter

Using the Pods Adapter

  1. Lift the handle.
  2. Remove the adapter by pulling it outwards.
  3. Place the desired pod inside the adapter. If it doesn't fit, use the correct adapter.
  4. Place the adapter in the compartment and push it inwards.
  5. Close the handle; the pod will be secured.
  6. Place a cup under the coffee spout.
  7. Press the button for your desired coffee size once. The button will flash, indicating the appliance is heating up.
  8. The appliance will start brewing and automatically stop when the preset amount is reached. This amount can be adjusted. Open the cover and remove the adapter to discard the used pod.
  9. When pressing a button, it flashes for a few seconds before dispensing. The flashing light indicates heating; this is normal.
  10. Remove the cup and adapter to discard the used pod.

Using the Ground Coffee Adapter

  1. Open the cover.
  2. Remove the ground coffee adapter.
  3. Put ground coffee into the adapter and press it down.
  4. Place the adapter in the coffee machine.
  5. Close the cover.
  6. Place a cup under the spout.
  7. Press the button for your desired coffee size once. The button will flash, indicating the appliance is heating up.
  8. Coffee brewing is complete. The machine stops dispensing when the preset time has elapsed, which can be adjusted.
  9. Open the cover and remove the adapter to discard the coffee grounds.

Automatic Shut-off Function

The appliance automatically switches off after 9 minutes of inactivity to save energy. Press any button to exit power save mode.

Adjusting the Amount of Coffee

The dispensed coffee amount can be adjusted by changing the brewing time. The process is the same for all three buttons. The adjustable range is 25-200 ml.

  1. Press and hold the desired coffee cup button. Coffee will start dispensing. Do not release the button.
  2. Release the button when the desired amount of coffee is dispensed. The machine will stop, and the setting will be saved.

Restore Original Factory Settings

To reset the coffee amount settings to factory defaults:

  1. Press all three buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds while the appliance is not in power save mode. You will hear two beeps.
  2. All button indicator lights will flash, followed by a flashing red indicator light, indicating the reset process has begun.

WARNING: Ensure the water tank is not empty and the adapter is clear of coffee.

  1. Press the button with the flashing red indicator. The coffee machine will dispense water.
  2. Let the water run until the red indicator light stops flashing and all three buttons flash.
  3. The appliance will take approximately 35 seconds to preheat. The buttons will stop flashing when ready.

Cleaning and Maintenance

For optimal performance, follow these guidelines:

  • Be aware of the sharp needle on the top of the pod adapter.
  • Do not use the appliance if the water level is less than three fingers above the water outlet valve.
  • Do not lift the cover during operation.
  • The pods adapter can be very hot after brewing.
  • Always unplug the machine before cleaning.
  • Use the coffee machine only in dry environments.
  • Rinse the water tank before first use. Clean the machine with a damp cloth.
  • Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the appliance.

WARNING: Do not open the pods compartment during operation.

Do not place the machine on furniture during operation.

WARNING: Do not use the appliance if its surface is cracked.

Surfaces may be hot after use; allow to cool before touching.

Descaling Process

If indicator lights flash red alternately during operation, the machine requires descaling.

  1. Remove any pod or ground coffee from the adapter and reinsert it. Use only Nespresso or ground coffee adapters for this process.
  2. Remove and clean the water tank.
  3. Place a container (over 1 litre capacity) under the coffee spout.
  4. Fill the water tank with a descaling solution (e.g., 30-40% cleaning vinegar, or a dedicated coffee machine descaler) up to the maximum level, about two fingers below the limit.
  5. Plug in the machine. Press the small and medium cup buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. The small cup button light will illuminate, and the large cup button will flash red and white alternately, initiating the descaling process.
  6. Press these two buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.
  7. The large cup button will flash alternately white and red for 5 seconds.

First Stage of Descaling

  1. Press the small cup button. Its indicator light will turn off. The large cup button indicator will continue flashing white and red.
  2. The coffee machine will pump water and stop automatically. This cycle repeats every 2.5 minutes, 8 times in total.
  3. After 8 repetitions, the appliance will continue pumping until the tank is empty. The first stage is complete when the large cup button indicator continues flashing white and red.

Second Stage of Descaling

  1. Remove and clean the water tank. Refill it to the maximum level, about two fingers below the limit.
  2. Remove and clean the adapter, then place it back in the appliance.
  3. The medium cup button indicator will turn white. The large cup indicator will flash red and white alternately (faster than in the first stage), starting the second phase.
  4. Press the medium cup button. Its indicator light will turn off. The large cup button indicator will continue flashing white and red.
  5. The coffee machine will pump water automatically until approximately 600 ml has been dispensed.
  6. All indicator lights will switch off, signifying the completion of the second stage.
  7. Press any button to return the machine to its normal state.

Switching Off the Coffee Machine

Press the small and large cup buttons simultaneously to switch off the appliance.

Factory Settings

To reset the machine to factory settings:

  1. Disconnect the machine from the mains and open the cover.
  2. Press and hold the small and medium cup buttons simultaneously.
  3. Without releasing the buttons, switch the machine on. A beep will sound.
  4. Release the buttons.
  5. Close the cover. Two beeps will sound.
  6. Press all three buttons simultaneously. A long beep will sound.
  7. Unplug the machine from the mains.
  8. Reconnect the machine to the mains. Pressing any button will reset to factory settings.

To prepare the first coffee after a factory reset:

  1. The indicator light will flash red. Ensure the water tank is not empty and the adapter is clear of coffee.
  2. Press the button with the flashing red indicator. The coffee machine will dispense water.
  3. Let the water run until the red indicator light stops flashing and all three buttons flash.

Troubleshooting

A red indicator light flashesWater tank is out of water.To solve this problem, follow these steps: Step 1: fill up the water tank. Step 2: remove the adapter from the coffee machine to throw away the pod/ground coffee. Step 3: replace the adapter. Step 4: press the button whose indicator light is red. The coffee machine will start dispensing water. Step 5: let the water run out until the red indicator light turns off and the three buttons flash. Step 6: the appliance will take approximately 35 seconds to preheat. When it does, the buttons will stop flashing, indicating that the machine is ready to brew coffee again.
You have just reset to factory settings.(See above solution for red indicator light flashing)
