1.2 PoE
The Network Camera is PoE-compliant, allowing transmission of power and data via a single Ethernet cable. The diagram illustrates Power over Ethernet (PoE) connectivity. It shows a Network Camera connected via an Ethernet cable to a 'PoE Switch or POE NVR'. A WiFi symbol indicates a wireless connection to a smartphone, with an Internet connection routed through a 'Router'.
1.3 Read before Use
Please verify that all contents received are complete according to the Package Contents. Before installation, carefully read and follow the instructions in the Quick Setup Guide to avoid damage due to faulty assembly and installation. This ensures the product is used properly as intended.

1.5 Physical Description
1.5.1 Front Panel
The diagram of the camera's front panel labels the following components: Lens, Microphone, two sets of Spotlight & Infrared LED, and a Light Sensor. The rear/side view shows the LAN port for network connection, a Power Interface, a Reset button, and a Micro SD Card Slot.
1.5.2 Interface
The diagram shows two connection points labeled '1' and '2'. Point 1 is the LAN port (10/100M adaptive Ethernet interface). Point 2 is the Power Interface, requiring a 12V/1A power adapter.
1.6 SD Card Management
This camera supports Micro SD Card. If a card is inserted while the camera is operating, reboot the camera for it to be recognized. Check the SD card status in the Foscam app under Settings → Device Status → Device Status.
1.7 Add Device: Connection via the Foscam App
QR codes are provided for downloading the Foscam mobile application. One QR code links to the 'App Store' for iOS devices, and the other links to 'Google Play' for Android devices. Refer to the Quick Setup Guide for further instructions.
1.8 Installation
Refer to the Quick Setup Guide. Mount the camera at the desired location using the provided screws. Ensure that connector ports at the end of the tailcable are protected from rain or water, as they are not weather-resistant. Mounting diagrams illustrate adjustable angles: 0-360° and 0-90°.
1.9 Waterproof Lid Installation Guide
For outdoor mounting, it is recommended to install the waterproof lid. Follow these steps:
- Thread the Ethernet cable through the top cover and then the waterproof connector.
- Place the rubber seal ring around the Ethernet cable between the top cover and the waterproof connector. Note: The rubber seal ring may need to be cut if it is not pre-cut.
- Attach the rubber O-ring to the Ethernet port of the camera and plug the Ethernet cable into the port.
- Align the waterproof connector with the Ethernet port and twist clockwise to tighten.
- Push the rubber seal ring into the waterproof connector, then screw the top cover and lock it into position to complete the installation.
