Multi-system Operation

Two or more indoor units can be operated by one outdoor unit. When several indoor units are operated simultaneously, cooling and heating operations cannot be done at the same time. When COOL is selected with one unit and HEAT with another or vice versa, the unit selected last goes into standby mode.

Selecting Operation Modes

Start/Stop Operation: Press the OFF/ON button to start or stop the operation.

Select Operation Mode: Press the MODE button to cycle through the following modes: AUTO, COOL, DRY, HEAT, FAN.

Set Temperature: Press the or buttons to adjust the temperature by 1°F (1°C) increments.

Fan Speed and Airflow Direction

Fan Speed: Press the FAN button to select the fan speed: AUTO, QUIET, LOW, MED, HIGH, SUPER HIGH. Two short beeps from the indoor unit indicate AUTO setting. Use higher speeds for quicker cooling/heating and lower speeds for quiet operation.

Horizontal Airflow: Press the WIDE VANE button to select horizontal airflow direction: AUTO, SWING. AUTO sets the vane to the most efficient airflow direction. SWING moves the vane up and down intermittently.

Vertical Airflow Direction: Press the VANE button to select vertical airflow direction (1-5). For efficient cooling, select direction 1. For heating, select direction 5. If direction 4 or 5 is selected during COOL/DRY, the vane moves upward after 30 minutes to 1 hour to prevent condensation dripping.

ECONO COOL Operation

Press the ECONO COOL button during COOL mode to activate ECONO COOL operation. The unit performs a swing operation vertically, and the set temperature is automatically raised by 4°F (2°C). This provides a cooling sensation while saving energy. Press ECONO COOL again or the VANE button to cancel.

What is ECONO COOL? Swing airflow makes you feel cooler than stationary airflow. Even with a higher set temperature, you remain comfortable and save energy.

Smart Set Operation

Press the SMART SET button during COOL, ECONO COOL, or HEAT mode to enter SMART SET mode. You can set and save preferred temperature, fan speed, and airflow direction. Press SMART SET again to recall the saved settings. Two settings can be saved: one for COOL/ECONO COOL and one for HEAT. SMART SET operation is canceled when the MODE button is pressed.

Examples of Use:

Timer Operation

Press the ON TIMER or OFF TIMER buttons to set the timer. The unit can turn on or off at a specified time. ON and OFF timers can be set together. The ON TIMER/OFF TIMER indicator shows the order of timer operations. Ensure the current time is set correctly.

Use the or buttons to set the timer time. Each press adjusts the time by 10 minutes. Set the timer while the ON TIMER/OFF TIMER indicator is blinking.

Press ON TIMER or OFF TIMER again to cancel the timer.
