Congratulations on purchasing an Amica appliance. The Amica Sharq vacuum cleaner combines exceptional ease of use with excellent efficiency. Please read this manual carefully before operating the appliance to ensure proper use and avoid accidents.

Note: Batteries are not included in the product. You need to purchase batteries (2 x AAA) for the handle control.

Safety Instructions for Use

⚠️ Important! To minimize the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury:

• Carefully read this instruction manual before using the appliance.
• Children do not fully understand the dangers of electrical appliances; keep the appliance out of their reach.
• Do not immerse the appliance body in water or other liquids. Immersion in water can cause electric shock ⚡.
• If water spills on external components, dry thoroughly before switching on. Do not touch wet surfaces connected to power; disconnect immediately.
• Do not use if the power cord or plug is damaged, or if the appliance has been dropped.
• After use, always pull the plug from the socket. Disconnect before cleaning or changing accessories, or in case of malfunction.
• When unplugging, pull the plug, not the cord. Hold the socket with your other hand.
• The appliance is Class II fire protection electrical equipment.
• Do not attempt to remove housing parts.
• Protect the power cord from sharp edges and hot surfaces.
• Do not expose to rain or humidity; do not use outdoors or with wet hands.
• If the power cord or plug is damaged, it must be replaced by a professional repair shop.
• Never place the appliance on hot surfaces ?.
• Using non-supplied attachments may damage the appliance.
• Never leave the appliance connected to the mains unsupervised.
• Ensure the surface where the appliance is used is level, clean, and dry.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, unless supervised or instructed by a responsible person. Children shall not play with the appliance.
• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and older, and persons with reduced capabilities, if supervised or instructed on safe use and aware of risks. Cleaning and maintenance should not be performed by children unless they are 8+ and supervised.
• Do not pull or move the vacuum cleaner by the cord; do not use the cord as a handle. Avoid pinching the cord in doors or dragging it over sharp edges. Be careful not to run over the cord.
• Do not insert objects into openings. Do not use if any opening is blocked; clear dust, lint, hair, etc., that may restrict airflow.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and body parts away from openings and moving parts.
• Do not use to collect flammable substances (e.g., petrol) or in places where they may be present.
• Hold the plug when retracting the cord; do not let it retract loosely.
• Do not use without a dust bag and/or filters.
• Do not collect items that burn or smoke (e.g., cigarettes, matches, hot ashes).
• If the air intake, hose, or telescopic tube is clogged, switch off immediately. Remove the blockage before restarting.
• Do not use too close to heaters, radiators, or cigarette butts.
• Ensure hands are dry before plugging into the wall socket.
• Before vacuuming, remove sharp objects from the floor to avoid damaging the dust bag.
• Do not collect fine particles like flour, gypsum, printer toners, as this may clog filters and damage the cleaner.
• The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a power cord retractor.
• To switch on, press the power switch (Fig. 1, item 7). Complete shutdown is by disconnecting from power.

Disposing/Scrapping of Used Equipment

This appliance is marked according to European Directive 2012/19/EU and local legislation regarding WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) with the symbol of a crossed-out waste container ?️. This indicates that the appliance must not be disposed of with household waste after its use.

Users are obliged to hand over used electrical and electronic equipment to designated collection centers. These collectors, including local points, shops, and municipal units, form a system for returning such equipment.

Proper handling of used electrical and electronic goods helps avoid negative consequences for human health and the environment resulting from hazardous components and improper storage or processing.

Unpacking

The appliance was protected with packaging during transport. Please dispose of packaging elements in an environmentally friendly manner. All packaging materials are environmentally friendly, 100% recyclable, and marked with the appropriate symbol ♻️.

⚠️ Important! Keep packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene, etc.) away from children during unpacking.

Operation

⚠️ Always unplug the appliance before attaching or removing attachments!

Preparing for Vacuuming

• Attaching flexible hose: Insert the hose end into the inlet port and turn clockwise until it locks. (See Fig. 3, step 1).
• Removing the hose: Hold the hose end, turn it left until it releases, and pull the hose out. (See Fig. 3, step 2).
• Connecting tubes and attachments: Connect the telescopic tube to the hose (Fig. 3, step 3) and then attach the desired accessory (Fig. 3, step 5). Extend the telescopic tube to the required length (Fig. 3, step 4).
• Power connection: Grab the plug and pull the power cord while holding the appliance body. Plug into a power outlet. Extend the power cord to a sufficient length. The yellow mark indicates near the end of the cord; do not extend beyond the red mark.

Using the Vacuum Cleaner

• Switch on the appliance using the ON/OFF button (Fig. 3, item 7).
• Adjust suction power using the speed control buttons (Fig. 1, item 4).
• To switch off, press the ON/OFF button again.
• Unplug the power cord from the wall socket.
• Retract the power cord by pressing the cable rewind button (Fig. 3, item 7). Hold the cord to prevent it from tangling or hitting the housing.
• Disconnect the cleaning head/attachment from the tube, and the telescopic tube from the hose (Fig. 3, steps 3, 5).
• Collapse the telescopic tube (Fig. 3, step 4).

Storage

The vacuum cleaner can be stored vertically or horizontally. The hose can remain attached but avoid sharp bends during storage.

Hose Remote Control Pairing

This feature allows you to control the vacuum cleaner (power on/off, suction level) using buttons on the hose handle. Ensure batteries (2 x AAA) are installed in the handle holder.

1. Plug the power cord into the socket.
2. Turn on the main machine switch with your left hand and simultaneously press the '+' and '-' buttons on the handle with both hands until the display panel flashes (Fig. 4, steps 1 & 2).
3. With the display flashing, press the power button on the hose handle. If the vacuum cleaner shuts down, pairing is successful (Fig. 4, step 3).
4. Press the hose handle buttons to test functionality. Press the shutdown button on the handle to turn off the machine (Fig. 4, steps 4 & 5).

Cleaning and Maintenance

Replacing the Dust Bag

Before replacing the dust bag, unplug the appliance. Always use the vacuum cleaner with a dust bag fitted. If the bag is missing or fitted incorrectly, the cover will not close properly.

If the dust bag full indicator (LED display, Fig. 1, item 6) lights up, check for blockages in the suction brush, cleaning head, hose, or tube. After clearing any blockages, restart the vacuum. If the indicator remains red, replace the dust bag.

1. After disconnecting the hose, open the front cover by lifting it upwards (Fig. 3, steps 8, 9).
2. Release the dust bag lock and remove the filled bag.
3. Insert a new or empty dust bag into the guides.
4. Close the cover by pressing it down until it clicks.

Cleaning and Replacing the Inlet Filter

• Unplug the appliance before cleaning the filter.
• Clean the filter when visibly soiled. Wash in warm water without detergent. Use only when completely dry.
• Always use the vacuum cleaner with the filter in place; failure to do so can damage the motor.
• To remove: Open the front cover, remove the dust bag, then slide the filter up from its guides (Fig. 3, step 10).
• Clean or replace the filter. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting.

Cleaning and Replacing the Outlet Filter (HEPA13)

• Unplug the appliance before cleaning.
• Clean the filter when soiled. Shake off dirt, brush gently, then rinse in lukewarm water without detergent. Do not use a strong water jet. Use only when completely dry. Replace if heavily soiled or damaged.
• It is recommended to clean the filter monthly and replace it every six months.
• Use only original Amica filters.
• To access: Open the air exhaust cover (Fig. 3, steps 11, 12).
• Remove, clean, or replace the filter.
• Close the air exhaust cover.

Filters Cleaning: Rinse filters with lukewarm water and let them dry completely.
