Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Atomos Ninja V+. This device utilizes professional SDI connectivity (via AtomX SDI module) and HDMI connectivity. It allows recording up to 4Kp120 and 8Kp30 ProRes RAW. The class-leading AtomHDR monitor provides visualization of 10+ stops of dynamic range, with 1000 nits brightness for daylight viewing and 10-bit processing for smooth gradations.

HDMI Cable: Atomos offers a range of HDMI cables with die-cast connectors and coiled cables in various lengths and connection types.
Connect and Power-Up
Battery
The Ninja V+ has a single battery slot. To connect a compatible battery, place it in front of the retaining lug, align with the connectors, and slide the battery into the lock position. Atomos NP-F series batteries are recommended.
To connect the supplied Battery Eliminator, follow the same procedure and lock it into position. Once the Battery Eliminator is in place, connect the supplied AC/DC power supply to the DC jack. Alternatively, the Ninja V+ can be powered via a DTap power source using the optional DTap battery cable (ATOMDTPCB1), which is included with the Ninja V+ Pro Kit Version.
Touching the battery icon in the top right of the screen displays the remaining battery life. Refer to the User Manual for more information.
Expansion Port
The Ninja V+ features a built-in Expansion Port that provides added functionality when paired with optional AtomX SDI and AtomX SYNC Expansion Modules. The AtomX SDI Module is included in the Ninja V+ Pro Kit.
Physical Features
The Ninja V+ has several physical features:
- a. On/Off and Screen Lock: Press the power button on the side to turn the unit on. To shut down, hold the button for at least 4 seconds.
- b. Remote Control/LANC and Calibration: The Ninja V+ screen can be calibrated using the X-Rite i1Display Pro. A USB to serial cable (ATOMCAB004) is required. The remote port also supports remote camera control for Z Cam E2 cameras via an optional USB-C to serial cable (ATOMCAB018).
- c. HDMI In/Out: The HDMI input supports recording up to 4Kp60 video and 8Kp30 / 4Kp120 RAW inputs. The HDMI Output provides a live loop out or play-out function up to 4Kp60 video.
- d. Battery Release Button: Press and slide the battery away from the unit to remove it.
- e. Tally Light: A red Tally light on the rear indicates active recording. This can be turned off in the menu options.
- f. Screw Mounts + Locking Pin Holes (Arri): Features 3/8" screw holes with 1/4" adapters on the top and bottom.
- g. Disk Slot: Compatible with Master Caddy II media and AtomX SSDmini.

Safety Instructions
The Ninja V+ is designed to a high standard, but users should be aware of certain points for safe operation and to prolong the unit's life.
Using the Ninja V+ Safely
- Ensure the Ninja V+ is mounted securely to prevent it from falling, especially if children are present.
- Always ensure cables are visible and do not present a trip hazard.
- Do not place the unit on uneven or unstable surfaces.
- Only insert a Ninja V+ Master Caddy II or AtomX SSDmini into the drive slot.
- Avoid touching the screen with sharp, metallic, or abrasive objects.
- Do not expose the unit to strong electrical or magnetic fields, liquids, rain, or moisture.
- Dispose of the Ninja V+ according to local regulations; do not incinerate it.

International Hardware Limited Warranty (1 Year Standard / 3 Years if registered)
ATOMOS warrants that the main product (excluding the IPS screen and external accessories) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 1 year from purchase, or 3 years if registered within 1 year at www.atomos.com.
TFT/LCD, batteries, cases, and master caddies are warranted for 1 year from purchase, regardless of registration.
This warranty is for the original purchaser only and is not transferable.
If the product is found defective during the warranty period, ATOMOS may, at its option:
- a) Replace the goods or supply equivalent ones.
- b) Repair the goods.
- c) Pay the cost of replacement or acquiring equivalent goods.
- d) Pay the cost of having the goods repaired.
Customers must notify ATOMOS in writing of any defects before the warranty expiry. The customer is responsible for returning the goods to ATOMOS or an authorized distributor. ATOMOS will cover reasonable shipping costs for returns/repairs if the customer is in a country with an authorized ATOMOS distributor or repair center.
Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover defects caused by:
- Failure to comply with operating instructions.
- Neglect.
- Improper or negligent acts or omissions.
- Unauthorized repairs or attempted repairs.
- Tampering or modification of the goods.
- Connection to incompatible equipment or power sources.
- Exposure to water, weather, magnetic fields, or corrosive liquids/substances.
ATOMOS, its vendors, agents, resellers, and distributors disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The remedies provided are exclusive. ATOMOS does not warrant that the goods will operate error-free or uninterrupted. The goods are not intended as the primary or only data storage device; customers are solely responsible for data backup and protection.
Software License Agreement
IMPORTANT: This is a license agreement. The ATOMOS software, documentation, and included files are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. The software is licensed, not sold.
This End User License Agreement (EULA) is between you and ATOMOS regarding the copyrighted software. Use of the software constitutes acceptance of these terms.
If you do not agree with the EULA terms, do not download, install, copy, or use the software. By using the software, you agree to be bound by the EULA.
- Eligible Licensees: The software is licensed solely to purchasers of the ATOMOS Ninja V+ from an authorized reseller, with no right of duplication, distribution, licensing, or sub-licensing.
- License Grant: ATOMOS grants a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the software. You may not copy the software except as necessary for use with the Ninja V+, nor copy accompanying written materials. Modifying, reverse engineering, translating, renting, copying, transferring, or assigning the software or hardware is strictly prohibited. Title and ownership rights remain with ATOMOS or its suppliers.
- Reverse Engineering: You agree not to attempt, and to prevent employees/contractors from attempting, to reverse compile, derive circuits, modify, translate, or disassemble the software or hardware. Failure to comply terminates the license.
ATOMOS reserves the right to terminate the license for violations of its terms and conditions.
