Programmes

Always respect care label instructions for choosing the appropriate programme.

  • Cotton: For normally to heavily soiled and robust cottons.
  • Jeans: Turn garments inside-out and use liquid detergent.
  • Synthetics: For washing soiled garments made from synthetic fibres or cotton/synthetic blends.
  • Hygiene: Removes 99% of bacteria for cotton and linen items like bed linen, towels, shirts.
  • Delicates: For washing particularly delicate garments. Turn inside-out before washing.
  • Mixed: For washing lightly to normally soiled resilient garments in cotton, linen, synthetic, and mixed fibres.
  • Rapid 15': Refresh programme for briefly worn cotton items. Use the lowest recommended detergent amount.
  • Wool/Handwash: Suitable for all wool garments, even those labelled "hand-wash only". Use special detergents and do not exceed max load.
  • Eco 40-60: For normally soiled cotton garments washable at 40C or 60C. Most efficient in water and energy consumption.
  • 20C: For washing lightly soiled cotton garments at 20C.
  • Rinse + Spin: Separate rinse and intensive spin programme for robust laundry.
  • Spin: Spins the load and empties water. For robust laundry.
  • Drain: Drains water only, no spinning.

First Time Use

To remove manufacturing debris, select the "Cotton" programme at 95C. Add a small quantity of powder detergent (max 1/3 of recommended amount for lightly soiled laundry) to the main wash compartment. Start the programme without laundry.

Daily Use

Prepare laundry according to "HINTS AND TIPS". Load laundry, close the drum door securely. Add detergent and additives according to dosing recommendations. Close the lid. Turn the programme selector to the desired programme and select options if needed. The "Start/Pause" indicator flashes, and the spin speed indicator lights up. Adjust spin speed using the "Spin" button. Open the water tap and press "Start/Pause". The "Start/Pause" indicator lights up, and the door locks. Remaining time may be recalculated during the cycle.

Pause or Change a Running Programme

Press "Start/Pause" to pause. The indicator light blinks. Select a new programme, temperature, options, or spin speed. Press "Start/Pause" again to resume. Do not add detergent for this action.

Lid Open Indicator

The "Lid open" indicator lights up before starting and after programme completion, showing the lid can be opened. The lid remains locked during a running programme. To open during a cycle (e.g., to add laundry), press "Start/Pause". If the temperature is not too high, the "Lid open" indicator will light up. Wait for the lid to unlock. Press "Start/Pause" to continue the programme.

Programme End

The "Lid open" indicator lights up. Turn the programme selector to "O" and close the water tap. Open the lid and drum, then unload the machine. Leave the lid open to allow the interior to dry. The washing machine will switch off automatically after about 15 minutes to save energy. To cancel a programme, press "Reset" for at least 3 seconds. Water will drain; the lid will unlock after a while.

Options

Note: Unsuitable option combinations will be deselected automatically.

  • Start delay: Set the programme to start later. Press "Delay Timer" until the desired time is illuminated. The "Start delay" lamp lights up and goes off when the programme starts. Press "Start/Pause" to begin the countdown. Press "Start delay" again to reduce the preselected hours. Do not use liquid detergent with this option. To cancel, turn the programme selector to another position.
  • Prewash: For heavily soiled loads (e.g., sand, granular dirt). Increases cycle time by approx. 15 min. Do not use liquid detergent for the main wash when Prewash is active.
  • Rapid: Enables quicker washing by shortening programme duration. Recommended for small loads or lightly soiled laundry.
  • Intensive rinse: Extends the rinse phase to help avoid detergent residues. Suitable for baby laundry, people with allergies, and soft water areas.
  • Energy saver: Achieves excellent washing results with lower temperatures and slightly modified duration for lower energy consumption.
  • Spin: Change the spin speed by pressing the "Spin" button. Selecting "0" cancels the final spin but retains intermediate spins during rinses. Water is only drained.

Bleaching

Wash laundry with the desired programme (Cotton or Synthetics), adding chlorine bleach to the Softener chamber (close lid carefully). After the programme ends, run the desired programme again (optionally with softener) to eliminate any residual bleach smell. Never mix chlorine bleach and softener in the same compartment.

Hints and Tips

  • Sort laundry: By fabric type/care label, colour (separate whites and colours, wash new colours separately), and delicates (use a laundry bag for small items like stockings or items with hooks like bras).
  • Empty pockets: Remove coins, lighters, etc., to prevent damage.
  • Appliance interior: Occasionally run a 95C programme without laundry, adding a little detergent, to keep the interior clean, especially if you rarely wash at high temperatures.
  • Dosage/Additives: Follow recommendations for optimal cleaning, avoid detergent residue, and save money.
  • Low temperature & longer duration: Generally the most energy-efficient programmes.
  • Observe load sizes: Load the machine up to the indicated capacity to save water and energy.
  • Noise & moisture: Influenced by spin speed; higher speed means more noise but less residual moisture.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Switch off and unplug the washing machine before cleaning. Do not use flammable fluids.

  • Outside: Clean with a soft damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners on the control panel.
  • Detergent dispenser: Clean regularly (at least 3-4 times a year). Press the release button to remove the tray. Wash under running water. Clean the siphon cap if removed. Reinstall securely.
  • Water supply hose: Check regularly for brittleness and cracks. Replace if damaged. For "water stop" hoses, check the safety valve inspection window (red indicates function triggered). Unscrew by pressing the release button.
  • Mesh filters in water supply hose: Clean regularly (2-3 times a year). Close tap, loosen hose at tap, clean filter. Unscrew hose at machine, pull out and clean filter. Reconnect and check for leaks.
  • Water filter / draining residual water: The machine has a self-cleaning pump. Clean the filter regularly to prevent blockages. If water doesn't drain, the filter may be clogged. Open filter cover with a coin. Place a container underneath. Slowly turn filter counter-clockwise to drain water. Close when container is full, empty container, and repeat until drained. Place a cloth to absorb residual water. Remove filter by turning anti-clockwise. Clean filter and chamber. Ensure pump impeller is not obstructed. Reinsert filter clockwise and close cover. Test water tightness by pouring 1 litre of water into the drum.
  • Lid seal: Periodically check and clean the lid seal with a damp cloth.
  • Recovering an object between drum and tub: Unplug the machine. Remove laundry. Close drum flaps. Turn drum half a turn. Using a screwdriver, press the plastic end of a drum lifter and slide it left to right to detach it. It will fall into the drum. Recover the object through the drum hole. Reinsert the lifter from inside the drum by positioning its plastic tip above the hole on the right side and sliding it left until it clips. Close drum flaps, turn drum, and check lifter positioning. Plug in again.

Transport and Handling

Unplug the machine, close the water tap, and disconnect hoses. Remove residual water from hoses and machine. Fix hoses to prevent damage. To move the machine, pull out the mobility lever (if available) and use it to slide the machine. Push the lever back to its stable position. Refit the transport bracket in reverse order of removal.

Troubleshooting

The washing machine does not turn on and/or programme does not start:

  • Plug not inserted correctly.
  • Power failure.
  • Lid not properly closed.

The wash cycle does not start:
