Caddx Farsight Quick Start Guide

Product Introduction
The Caddx Farsight offers the following key features:
- Fast Zoom: The Farsight camera boasts an 8x zoom capability with a quick and smooth zooming process, eliminating the wait time associated with traditional zoom lenses. It utilizes a hybrid zoom solution combining optical, digital, and AI algorithms.
- Lightweight Design: With an ultra-compact size of 19mm x 19mm, it offers a more portable alternative to bulky optical zoom lenses.
- Supports analog output functionality.
- Supports remote control for zoom operations.
Installation Direction
During installation, ensure the indicated side is facing upwards to prevent image inversion.

Control Mode
Zoom Function Control: Zoom operations are managed via PWM signals from the flight controller. For instance, a 100% PWM signal duty cycle displays 1x magnification, while a 200% duty cycle provides 2x magnification.
Reset Function Control: An IO-defined switch is used to quickly reset the zoom to 1x magnification from higher zoom levels. When the IO switch is turned off, the zoom reverts to its previous magnification.
Recommended Button Settings:
- Zoom function: Controlled by a rotary switch.
- Reset function: Controlled by a two-position toggle switch.
Connection
Power / CVBS Connection:
- POWER: Connect to FC pad 9~24V
- GND: Connect to GND
- CVBS: Connect to FC CAM interface
Control Line Connection:
- GND: Connect to GND
- GPIO2: Input PWM signal for zoom control
- GPIO1: Input IO signal for reset definition

Debugging Procedure
Example Hardware Connection:
- PGIO1: Connect to flight controller TX1
- PGIO2: Connect to flight controller M6
In the Betaflight program, navigate to the "CLI" option. Enter the command "resource" to view pin definitions.

Release Occupation Operation:
- Enter
resource MOTOR 6 none
and press Enter. - Enter
resource SERIAL_TX 1 none
and press Enter to release resources.
Configuration Definition Operation:
- Enter
resource SERVO 1 B04
and press Enter. - Enter
resource PINIO 1 B06
and press Enter to configure. - Type
Save
and press Enter to save the configuration.

RC Channel Configuration
Betaflight Program Setup:
- Navigate to the "Modes" option. Find "USER1" and click to debug. Set channel 8 to a two-position toggle switch, select "AUX 8" channel, and click "Save".
- Navigate to the "Configuration" option. In the "Other Features" section, check the box to enable "SERVO_TILT" and click "Save and Restart".

Servo Configuration:
- Navigate to the "Servos" option. If the remote control channel A4 is set to a rotary switch, check the box for "Servo 1" and enable the "A4" remote control channel. Click "Save".
