  • Ensure the outdoor unit's airflow is not obstructed, as this can reduce performance and increase noise.
  • If abnormal noises occur during operation, consult your dealer.

Drain Piping

  • Proper drain piping is essential for complete drainage. Clogged pipes can lead to water leakage from the indoor unit. If leakage occurs, stop operation and consult your dealer or service station.

Operation Procedure

Refer to the remote controller's operation manual for specific instructions.

Heating Operation Explanation:

  • Defrost Operation: When frost builds up on the outdoor unit coil, heating efficiency decreases, and the system enters defrost mode. The indoor fan stops, and the remote controller may display a specific symbol. Defrost operation typically lasts 6-8 minutes (maximum 10 minutes) before returning to heating.
  • Heating Capacity and Outside Air Temperature: Heating capacity decreases in colder temperatures. Consider using auxiliary heating systems. The system uses a warm air circulation method, which may take time to warm the entire room. An indoor fan may run at low speed until the unit reaches operating temperature.
  • Air Flow Direction Adjustment: The air flow direction can be adjusted vertically and horizontally. Use the "AIR FLOW DIRECTION ADJUST" button. The flap display will show the current setting (swinging or fixed).

Movement of the Air Flow Flap:

  • Automatic Swing: The flap swings continuously, varying the air direction.
  • Fixed Direction: Press the button to stop swinging and fix the air direction.

The microcomputer may control airflow direction differently from the display under certain conditions (e.g., room temperature lower than setpoint for cooling, higher for heating, or during defrost operation).

Recommended Flap Positions:

  • Cooling: Set flap parallel for optimal air distribution.
  • Heating: Set flap downwards to direct warm air towards the floor.

Note: Make adjustments only when the flap is not swinging. Be cautious to avoid pinching fingers.

To protect the unit, turn on the main power switch 6 hours before operation. If the power is interrupted during operation, the system will restart automatically when power is restored.

Optimum Operation

To ensure optimal system performance:

  • Set room temperature appropriately for comfort; avoid extreme heating or cooling.
  • Use curtains or blinds to prevent direct sunlight during cooling to reduce heat gain.
  • Ventilate the room regularly, especially during prolonged use.
  • Keep doors and windows closed to maintain indoor air temperature and efficiency.
  • Do not place other heaters directly below the indoor unit, as heat may deform plastic parts.
  • Keep the area around the air inlet and outlet of the unit clear to prevent reduced performance or operation stoppage.
  • Turn off the main power supply switch when the unit is not used for extended periods to save energy. Note that some power is consumed even when the system is on standby. Turn the main power supply switch on 6 hours before restarting for smooth operation.
  • If the display shows a filter cleaning indicator, contact a qualified service person for filter cleaning.
  • Utilize the air flow direction adjustment feature. Cold air settles low, and warm air rises. Adjust the flap parallel during cooling/dry modes and downwards during heating. Avoid directing airflow directly at people.

Maintenance (For Service Personnel)

Only qualified service personnel should perform maintenance.

Important Safety Precautions:

  • Before accessing terminal devices, ensure all power supply circuits are interrupted.
  • To clean, stop operation and turn off the power switch to prevent electric shock or injury.
  • Do not wash the unit with water, as this may cause electric shock.
  • Exercise caution when working at heights (e.g., using scaffolds).

How to Clean the Air Filter:

Clean the filter when the display shows a specific indicator. Increase cleaning frequency in highly contaminated environments (recommendation: every two weeks).

  3. Reset Air Filter: Ensure the filter is correctly reinstalled.
  4. Reset Indicator: After turning on the power, press the "AIR FILTER CLEANING TIME ICON RESET BUTTON". The indicator should vanish.

Note: Do not use hot water above 50°C or expose filters to fire, as this may cause discoloration, deformation, or burning.

How to Clean Air Outlet and Outside Panels:

  • Clean with a soft cloth. For stubborn stains, use water or neutral detergent.
  • Note: Do not use gasoline, benzene, thinner, polishing powder, or liquid insecticide, as these can cause discoloration or warping. Avoid using water or air at 50°C or higher for cleaning.

Start Up After a Long Stop:

  • Confirm air inlets and outlets are clear of obstructions.
  • Check earth connection. Contact your dealer if any wiring issues are found.
  • Clean the air filter and outside panels. Ensure the filter is properly attached.
  • Turn on the main power supply switch. The remote controller display should appear.
  • To protect the unit, turn on the main power supply switch at least 6 hours before operation.

Stopping the System for a Long Period:

  • Run FAN OPERATION for half a day to dry the unit.
  • Read the remote controller manual.
  • Cut off the power supply. Turn off the main power supply switch to save energy. The remote controller display will turn off.
  • Clean the air filter and exterior. Ensure the filter is replaced correctly.

Not Malfunction of the Air Conditioner
