Teltonika TAT100 Asset Tracker Quick Start Guide

01. First Start

Follow these steps to get your TAT100 device operational:

  1. Remove the device cover.
  2. Insert the Micro-SIM card. Ensure the PIN request is disabled or note how to enter it later via the Configurator. The cut-off corner of the Micro-SIM card should point towards the slot.
  3. Flip the power switch to the ON position.
  4. Configure the device using the Teltonika Configurator software.
  5. Once configuration is complete, reattach the cover and secure it in place.
  6. The device is now ready for use.

⚠️ Important: Micro-SIM card insertion or removal must be performed only when the device is turned off. Failure to do so may damage the Micro-SIM card or prevent the device from detecting it.

02. Configure Your Device

02.01. PC Preparation (Windows)

Before configuring the device, prepare your Windows PC:

  1. Download the Teltonika COM port drivers from: TeltonikaCOMDriver.zip
  2. Extract the downloaded file and run `TeltonikaCOMDriver.exe`.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts, clicking "Next" and then "Install".
  4. Upon completion, click "Finish" to exit the driver setup.

02.02. Configurator (Windows)

The Teltonika Configurator software is used for device configuration. It requires Microsoft Windows OS and MS .NET Framework version 4.6.2 or newer.

By default, devices have factory settings unless pre-configured. These settings should be adjusted to meet user requirements.

  1. Connect the device to your computer using a Micro-USB cable.
  2. Open the Teltonika Configurator software.
  3. The configuration process starts by interacting with the connected device within the software.

⚠️ Connection Issues: If the device is not detected or a connection cannot be initiated, check the following:

  • Ensure the SIM card is inserted correctly.
  • Verify that APN, Domain, and Port settings are accurate.
  • Confirm that GPRS functionality is enabled by your GSM provider.
  • Check for GSM network coverage.
  • Ensure the server is reachable.

Resolve these issues before proceeding with further configuration.

Tracking Settings

The TAT100 offers different tracking modes:

  • Periodic: Collects positioning data at fixed intervals. The configuration range is from 360 to 259,200 seconds.
  • Scheduler: Collects positioning data based on a set schedule, allowing up to 6 data transmissions per day on specified days.

After configuring the device, click the "Save to device" button.

Once saved, disconnect the device from USB and reattach the cover.

02.03. Important Configuration Notes
