Getting Started with the Genexis EasyWiFi App
Install your device in just a few steps using the Genexis EasyWiFi app.
App Installation Steps:
- Scan the QR-code provided.
- Download the Genexis EasyWiFi app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Follow the on-screen instructions within the app.
The app guides you through setting up your WiFi network.

Placement Options:
The Pulse EX600 supports desktop and wall-mount placement. For optimal performance, place the device away from obstructions.
Desktop Placement:
- Place the device horizontally on a flat surface.
Wall Mount:
- Download and print the drilling guide from https://genexis.eu/product/pulse/downloads.
- Use the drilling guide to mark holes, drill, insert plugs, and secure screws.
- Use the wall mount points on the back of the Pulse EX600 to attach it to the screws.
Installing Your Pulse EX600 as a Router
This section details setting up the Pulse EX600 as your primary router. An additional Pulse EX600 can be added as an extender.
Router Setup Steps:
- Place the Pulse EX600 near your broadband outlet.
- Connect a network cable from your broadband outlet to the Pulse EX600's WAN port (red port).
- Plug the power adapter into an electrical socket and connect it to the power port on the back of the device.
- Turn the device ON using the ON/OFF switch on the back.
- Wait for the Status LED to stop blinking and turn solid green.
Your Pulse EX600 is now configured as a router and ready for network extension.
Extender Placement and Setup
Optimal Extender Placement:
For best performance as an extender, place the Pulse EX600 halfway between your router and the area with weak Wi-Fi signal. Ensure it is within your router's Wi-Fi range. If placed too far, it may not connect.

Wireless Extender Setup:
- Position the additional Pulse EX600 as described above.
- Connect the power adapter and turn the device ON.
- Wait for the Status LED around the Mode button to blink green.
- Press and release the Mode button on the Pulse EX600 once; the Status LED will blink blue.
- Within two minutes, press the same Mode button on the Pulse EX600 router.
- Automated pairing will begin. The Status LED will turn solid blue upon successful pairing (the extender may reboot, taking several minutes).
- Wait for the Status LED to stop blinking and turn solid green.
Your Pulse EX600 is now set up as a wireless extender.
Wired Extender Setup:
- Connect a network cable between the LAN port (yellow) of the Pulse EX600 router and the WAN port (red) of the Pulse EX600 extender.
- Connect the power adapter and turn the device ON.
- Wait for the Status LED to stop blinking and turn solid green (the extender may reboot during setup).
Your Pulse EX600 is now set up as a wired extender.
WiFi Functionality
Switching WiFi ON/OFF:
Use the Mode button to control the WiFi function:
- Switch OFF: Press and hold the Mode button until the Status LED turns solid yellow.
- Switch ON: Press and hold the Mode button until the Status LED starts blinking green or turns solid green.
Connecting to the Wireless Network (Manual Pairing):
You can connect personal devices (e.g., mobile phones) to the Pulse EX600. Ensure the Status LED is solid green before attempting to pair. If not, turn WiFi ON.
The WiFi network name (SSID) and WiFi key (password) are printed on the labels of the Pulse EX600 router.
- On your personal device, search for available wireless networks or scan the QR-code on the bottom label of the Pulse EX600.
- Select the WiFi network name found on the bottom label.
- Enter the WiFi key printed on the bottom label.
For devices connecting to an extender, follow the router's instructions.
Advanced Settings
Changing Network Settings:
Access the Pulse EX600's web interface (GUI) to modify network settings. The device must be in router mode to access the GUI.
- Open a web browser on your personal device and navigate to the GUI URL printed on the bottom label of the Pulse EX600.
- Log in using the credentials provided on the bottom labels.
Power Saving Options:
Power saving features are accessible via the web interface.
LED & Button Overview
Status LED Indicators:
- Green: System is operational and ready.
- Green (blinking): Connectivity lost.
- Yellow: System startup or WiFi is OFF.
- Yellow (blinking): System is not ready.
- Blue: Automated pairing (WPS) successful.
- Blue (blinking): Automated pairing (WPS) in progress.
- Red: System or booting failure.
- Off: Power is off.
Mode Button Functions:
- Pairing (WPS): Press and release once.
- WiFi ON: Press and hold until Status LED turns green (blinking or solid).
- WiFi OFF: Press and hold until Status LED turns solid yellow.
Port Overview

- LAN ports (LAN1, LAN2): For connecting wired devices.
- WAN port (Red): Connects to the broadband modem/outlet.
- Reset button (recessed): Used for rebooting or factory resetting.

- ON/OFF switch: Powers the device on or off.
- USB 2.0 port: For potential future use or diagnostics.
Button Functions:
- Reset button (recessed): Press and release once for a reboot. Press and hold until the Status LED blinks green fast for a factory reset.
- ON/OFF switch: Flip to ON to power the device on, flip to OFF to power it off.
Troubleshooting
Status LED Issues:
- Solid Red: Contact your service provider.
- Solid Yellow: WiFi is turned OFF. Turn WiFi ON as per the guide.
- Not Solid Blue after Automated Pairing (WPS): Pairing failed. Re-attempt setup or move the Pulse EX600 closer to the router.
- Blinking Green for 5 minutes: No broadband connection (Router mode). Verify wired connection or contact service provider. For Extender mode, connection to the router is unstable; check cables or move closer to the router.
- Blinking Yellow: The device is upgrading software. Wait for the Status LED to turn solid green.
Returning to Factory Default Settings:
Use the reset button (requires a small pin or paperclip):
- Press and hold the reset button until the Status LED starts fast blinking green.
- Wait until the Status LED turns solid green again.
The Pulse EX600 will be reset to router mode with default settings printed on its label.
