UP 8DSP – BMW 1.7HiFi Upgrade Kit

Installation Notes

When installing the UP 8DSP amplifier in combination with the PP-BMW 1.7 HIFI - UP 8DSP Edition wiring harness, it is absolutely necessary to make hardware configurations on the amplifier. This is essential to prevent damage to the amplifier or the vehicle.

Please follow these steps:

  1. Set the "Auto Remote" switch to "Off".

  2. Reposition the fuses inside the amplifier. Remove the side panel with the "System Connector" input by loosening the two Phillips screws and then pull the bottom plate to the side.

    Remove the two marked fuses by simply pulling them upward.

    Then, insert one of the previously removed 25 A fuses into the "Fuse - Power via System-Connector" slot.

  3. Reassemble the amplifier.
  4. Attach the mounting plate to the amplifier. Fix the mounting panel with the counter-sunk screws (both included in delivery) to the bottom plate of the amplifier.
  5. Install a basic sound setup onto the DSP. You can find this in the Sound Setup database at www.audiotec-fischer.com under Tools → Sound Setups → UP 8DSP with PP-BMW 1.7HiFi UP 8DSP Edition. Information about the installation of a Sound Setup on the amplifier can be found in the UP 8DSP user manual.
