Thank you for choosing the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 treadmill. This treadmill is designed to make your home workouts more effective and enjoyable.

Important Information

Please read this manual carefully before using the treadmill. For questions, refer to the front cover of this manual for contact information. Note the product model and serial number before contacting NordicTrack.

Safety First: Always read and understand all warnings and precautions before operating the treadmill. Keep children and pets away from the treadmill. Consult a healthcare provider before starting any exercise program. Use the treadmill only as described in this manual. Ensure the treadmill is placed on a level surface with adequate clearance. Do not operate the treadmill where aerosol products are used or where oxygen is administered. The treadmill is designed for persons weighing 300 lbs. (135 kg) or less. Never allow more than one person on the treadmill at a time. Wear appropriate athletic shoes; never use the treadmill with bare feet, stockings, or sandals. Plug the power cord into a surge suppressor (not included) and then into an appropriate outlet. Never move the walking belt while the power is turned off. If the power cord or plug is damaged, or if the treadmill is not working properly, do not operate it.

Emergency Stop: Always wear the safety clip while using the treadmill. In an emergency, pulling the key from the console will stop the walking belt.

Assembly

Assembly requires two persons. Clear a space and remove packing materials. Wipe off any oily substance with a soft cloth and mild cleaner. Left parts are marked "L" or "Left," and right parts are marked "R" or "Right." Assembly requires included hex keys, a Phillips screwdriver, and an adjustable wrench. Do not use power tools.

Refer to the Part Identification Chart on page 7 for small parts used in assembly.

Using the Treadmill

Connecting the Power Cord: Use a surge suppressor (UL 1449 listed, 400 volts or less, 450 joules minimum surge dissipation, 120 volts AC, 15 amps) with a monitoring light. Plug the power cord into the surge suppressor and the suppressor into a properly grounded 120-volt outlet.

Console Diagram: The console features a full-color touch screen with various controls for speed, incline, and fan. It is iFIT compatible.

Turning On Power: Allow the treadmill to warm to room temperature if exposed to cold. Plug in the power cord, turn the power switch to the reset position, stand on the foot rails, attach the safety clip to your waistband, and insert the key into the console.

Touch Screen Operation: The console functions like a tablet. You can slide and flick to navigate. The screen is not pressure sensitive. Use the on-screen keyboard for text input.

Console Setup: Connect to your wireless network, customize settings (units of measurement, time zone), log into or create an iFIT account, and check for firmware updates. Calibrate the incline system.

Manual Mode: Insert the key, select the home screen, start the walking belt, adjust speed and incline using the console buttons. Monitor progress on the display. Turn on the fan if desired. Remove the key when finished.

Featured Workouts: Requires a wireless network connection and an iFIT account. Select a workout from the library, start it, and follow the iFIT coach. Use Smart Adjust for intensity adjustments. Monitor progress and save workouts.

Draw-Your-Own-Map Workout: Requires a wireless network and iFIT account. Draw your route on the map, save it, and start the workout.

iFIT Workouts: Add workouts to your schedule on iFIT.com. Log in to your iFIT account on the console to access your scheduled workouts.

Changing Console Settings: Access the settings menu via the menu button to adjust account, equipment, maintenance, and Wi-Fi settings.

Connecting to Wireless Network: Select the wireless network menu, enable Wi-Fi, select your network, and enter the password if required.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Maintenance: Regularly inspect and tighten all parts. Replace worn parts with manufacturer-supplied parts. Clean the treadmill exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not spray liquids directly onto the treadmill. Dry with a soft towel.

Troubleshooting:

Exercise Guidelines

Consult your physician before starting any exercise program. Proper nutrition and rest are essential.

Exercise Intensity: Use heart rate to guide intensity. The chart provides recommended heart rates for fat burning and aerobic exercise based on age.

How to Measure Heart Rate: Exercise for at least four minutes, stop, place two fingers on your wrist, count heartbeats for six seconds, and multiply by 10.

Workout Guidelines:

Exercise Frequency: Aim for three workouts per week with rest days. Increase frequency as fitness improves.
