Limited Warranty Information

Troy-Bilt LLC provides a limited warranty for its products, covering defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty period varies by product type.

• Handheld Products - Limited Commercial Use Warranty: Handheld products have a 90-day warranty for commercial use.
• Canada Warranty: For products sold in Canada, TB30 riding mowers have a three (3) year warranty, and non-XP Troy-Bilt walk-behind mowers have a three (3) year warranty.
• Lead-Acid and AGM Batteries: Covered by a one (1) year prorated limited warranty. 100% replacement within the first three (3) months, then prorated based on remaining months in the twelve (12) month period from the original purchase date.
• Frames: Frames, chassis, and front axles on Super Bronco XP models are covered for residential use by a five (5) year limited warranty. Zero-Turn Mustang frames have a lifetime warranty for the original purchaser or seven (7) years from the date of sale/delivery, whichever comes first.
• Mowing Decks: Troy-Bilt LLC warrants mowing decks under the product's warranty unless otherwise stated. Optional fabricated cutting deck shells are warranted against defects for the product's lifetime or seven (7) years from sale/delivery, whichever comes first.
• Snow Blowers: Two-stage Arctic Storm and all three-stage auger gear boxes have a five (5) year limited warranty. Polymer discharge chutes are warranted for the product's lifetime or seven (7) years from sale/delivery, whichever comes first.
• Tillers: Bronze gear transmissions are warranted for the product's lifetime or seven (7) years from sale/delivery, whichever comes first.
• Attachments/Accessories: Refer to the operator's manual for warranty details.
• The limited warranty is non-transferable.

What This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover (Exclusions)

This limited warranty does not cover:

• Products purchased outside the United States or Canada.
• Engine/Emission Control Systems (covered by separate manufacturer warranties).
• Damage due to lack of maintenance or improper maintenance.
• Normal wear and tear.
• Normal Wear Parts (e.g., belts, blades, filters, tires, spark plugs) are warranted for 30 days or 100 hours (whichever occurs first) for residential use, and 30 days for commercial use.
• Use inconsistent with the operator's manual, including abuse, misuse, or neglect.
• Products altered or modified without Troy-Bilt LLC approval.
• Paint repairs or replacements for defective paint (covered for three (3) months).
• Wheel rims (covered for three (3) months for manufacturing defects).

Troy-Bilt LLC also disclaims responsibility for:

• Loss of time or loss of use of the Product.
• Transportation costs and related expenses for warranty service.
• Loss or damage to other equipment or personal items.
• Damage from improper maintenance or use of incorrect fuel, oil, or lubricants.
• Damage from installation or use of unapproved accessories or parts.

Warranty Limitations

• No implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, apply after the applicable warranty period.
• No other express warranty or guaranty binds Troy-Bilt LLC, except as stated.
• The exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of the defective part.
• Troy-Bilt LLC is not liable for incidental or consequential damages (e.g., transportation, rental expenses).
• Recovery cannot exceed the purchase price of the product.
• Alteration of safety features voids the warranty.
• The user assumes all risk and liability for use or misuse of the product.
• The warranty extends only to the initial purchaser. The warranty period begins on the original purchase or delivery date, whichever is later. If the original purchase date is indeterminable, the warranty period starts from the manufacture date plus six (6) months.

This limited warranty grants specific legal rights, and other rights may vary by state.
