Product Overview

The SUNMI T3 is a versatile Point of Sale (POS) system designed for various retail and hospitality environments. This document provides essential information for setup, operation, and maintenance.

The system supports multiple display configurations, including single and dual-screen setups, with screen sizes up to 15.6 inches (1920x1080px) and 10.1 inches (1280x800px).

Getting Started: Powering On

Follow these steps to power on your SUNMI T3 device:

1. Connect to Power Supply: ? Plug the power adapter into the power port located at the bottom of the terminal. Connect the other end of the adapter to a standard AC power socket.
2. Press the Power Button: ? Press the power button to turn on the screen and enter the boot interface. Follow the on-screen prompts for initial setup.
   • When the device is off, a short press will boot it up.
   • When the device is on, press and hold for 2-3 seconds to power off or reboot.
   • If the device crashes, press and hold the button for 11 seconds to force a power off.

Connecting a Customer Display

The SUNMI T3 supports connecting an additional customer display for enhanced customer interaction.

Connection Methods:

• A. USB Type-C Cable: Connect the customer display using a USB Type-C cable.
• B. Directional Insertion: Insert the display into the designated slot on the main unit according to the indicated direction. ?/? (Lock/Unlock mechanism shown in diagrams).

Supported display sizes include 15.6-inch and 10.1-inch customer displays.

Network Settings

Wi-Fi Setup

To connect to a wireless network:

• Click the "Settings" button.
• Enable WLAN ? and navigate to the WLAN search interface.
• Wait for available Wi-Fi hotspots to be listed.
• Click on the desired WLAN to connect. If the network is encrypted, you will be prompted to enter the access password.

NFC Functionality

The SUNMI T3 supports Near Field Communication (NFC) for contactless payments and other applications.

NFC Placement:

• The NFC reader is typically located on the right side of the main display.
• For rotated main displays, the NFC reader is also on the right side.
• For customer displays, the NFC reader is on the right side for both 15.6-inch and 10.1-inch models.

Optional Functions

TF Card / SIM Card Slot

The device features a TF card slot and a SIM card slot, usually located under a cover trim.

Base Screw Holes

The screw holes on the base are used for securing accessories, such as a cash drawer.

Points for Attention

Safety Warnings

• Ensure the AC plug is inserted into an AC socket that matches the power adapter's input voltage.
• Do not use the device in environments with potentially explosive gases.
• Non-professionals should not attempt to disassemble the power adapter to avoid hazards.
• Operate the device within a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C. Store the device and accessories between -20°C and 60°C.
• Unauthorized persons should not open the power adapter to prevent injury.
• The device is suitable for safe use at altitudes up to 5000 meters.
• This equipment is not intended for use in locations where children are likely to be present.

Suggestions

• Avoid using the device near water or in humid environments to prevent liquid ingress.
• Do not use the device in extreme cold or hot conditions, such as near ignition sources or lit cigarettes.
• Do not drop, throw, or bend the device.
• Avoid using the device near medical facilities without proper authorization.
• Use the device in a clean, dust-free environment to prevent small objects from entering the terminal.

App/Software Usage

The POS terminal can be used to accept payments in various retail settings. Connect to a network and use the App Store to download relevant applications.

• Check App Details: Navigate to "Settings > App" and select the app name.
• Uninstall Apps: Go to "Settings > App > Manage App" or drag the app icon to the trash.

FCC Compliance

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) it may not cause harmful interference, and (2) it must accept any interference received. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with Class B digital device limits, designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. If interference occurs, users are encouraged to correct it by reorienting the antenna, increasing separation, connecting to a different circuit, or consulting a dealer/technician.

Restrictions of Use

This product may be used in European member states with restrictions. For frequency bands 5.150 to 5.350 GHz, wireless access systems (WAS) and RLANs are restricted to indoor use.

WEEE Symbol: ♻️ Indicates that the product should not be disposed of with household waste. It must be taken to designated collection points or returned to the distributor for recycling.

RF Exposure Statement (SAR)

This equipment complies with EU, FCC, and IC RSS-102 radiation exposure limits for uncontrolled environments. Maintain a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator and your body during installation and use.

Energy Star® Certification

The device features automatic sleep modes (5 mins display sleep, 30 mins device sleep) for energy savings, compliant with ENERGY STAR® recommendations.
