Cleaning Your Major V
Headphones come in close contact with skin, which can lead to build-up of dirt and grease affecting performance and causing irritation. Clean your headphones regularly to keep them fresh and extend their lifespan.
Unplug any cables before cleaning. Ensure everything is dry before charging, plugging in cables, or using the headphones.
Remove ear cushions by turning them anticlockwise. To reattach, place them on the ear cups tilted at a 45° angle, and turn clockwise to lock.
Gently clean headphones, headband, ear cushions, and cables with a lint-free cloth, slightly damp with:
- Water
- 70% isopropyl alcohol
- 75% ethyl alcohol
Avoid moisture in openings or the speaker mesh. Clean these areas with a dry, soft brush or cotton swab.
- Do not use sharp objects.
- Do not use compressed air.
- Do not use products containing bleach or hydrogen peroxide.
- Do not submerge headphones in cleaning agents.
- Do not rinse headphones under running water.
Battery Care Guide
Your headphones have high-performance lithium-ion batteries. Follow these guidelines to maintain battery health:
- Avoid fast chargers if possible, as they stress and degrade the battery.
- Avoid letting the battery drain completely or charging when full. Aim for a charge between 30% and 80%.
- For long-term storage, charge to about half capacity and perform a factory reset. Store in a cool, dark, dry place.
- Avoid using or charging in hot, unventilated places (45°C/113°F and above).
- Avoid charging at low temperatures (below 10°C/50°F) and using below 0°C/32°F.
- Avoid strong mechanical shocks, like dropping, which can harm batteries.
Download the Marshall Bluetooth app to select battery preservation settings.
Pairing a New Device
Major V can connect to two devices simultaneously and remembers up to 10 paired devices, attempting to reconnect to the last connected device when in range.
- Ensure headphones are turned on.
- Double-press the Control knob; the LED will turn to a slow blue pulse.
- Select MAJOR V from your sound device's Bluetooth list.
Resetting the Headphones
If headphones become erratic or unresponsive, follow these instructions:
- Push and hold the control jog for 10 seconds to restart. If problems persist, perform a factory reset.
Note: A factory reset deletes user settings and requires re-pairing.
- Remove MAJOR V and MAJOR V [LE] (if present) from your sound device's Bluetooth list and the Marshall Bluetooth app.
- Push and hold both the control jog and the M-button for 10 seconds, releasing when the LED indicator turns purple.
