Scosche HA1563B: 1990-06 Acura/Honda/Isuzu Stereo Installation Kit
Introduction
This premium installation kit is for 1990-06 select Acura, Honda, and Isuzu vehicles. It includes all the parts needed to mount your car stereo/cassette, or CD player into your vehicle's dash. Refer to the individual instructions in this manual to remove your vehicle's factory radio and assemble the kit.
Notes:

- Read all instructions accompanying your car stereo/cassette player for proper wiring and mounting instructions.
Kit Assembly
DIN Radio Installation (Detachable Face/Pullout)
To install a DIN radio with a detachable face or pullout mechanism:
- Slide the mounting sleeve (metal shroud) into the panel's radio opening.
- Bend all available mounting tabs outward (as shown in inset diagrams).
- Once the sleeve is fastened to the kit panel, slide the radio into the mounting sleeve until it locks into place.
Note: Rear support for the radio adds to the installation's structural integrity.
Pocket Assembly
Step A: Attaching the Rear Bracket
Align the two screw emboss locations on the rear bracket with the matching locations on the pocket. Slide the bracket onto the pocket. Secure with the two supplied screws.
Step B: Attaching the Pocket
Align the pocket with the snaps on the kit panel. Snap the pocket into place on the back of the kit panel.
Bracket Assembly
Step A: Removing Side Tabs
Remove all side tabs from the kit panel, ensuring a smooth surface.
Step B: Attaching the Brackets
Snap the brackets into place from the inside of the kit panel.
Note: Use the shaded brackets and indicated hole locations. Cut off remaining brackets and discard.

Radio Removal Instructions by Vehicle
1994-01 Acura Integra
Refer to Illustrations A and B.
- Remove the ashtray and extract the two screws securing the ashtray and lighter assembly to the dash. Pull the assembly from the dash, unplug connectors, and remove.
- Reach behind the radio and loosen the two 8mm bolts securing the rear of the radio to the sub-dash structure.
- Pull the radio out of the dash, unplug all connectors, and remove the radio.
Note: A 1/4" socket drive assembly with a 6" extension or a Scosche Skewdriver set can make the job easier.
1990-93 Acura Integra
Refer to Illustration A. Note: Floorboard access - view from the rear of the console.
- Locate and loosen the two chrome/silver 8mm bolts securing the rear support of the radio. Pull the radio assembly from the dash.
- Disconnect the antenna and other connectors, then remove the radio assembly.
Note: A 1/4" socket drive assembly with a 6" extension can make the job easier.
1992-95 Acura Legend
Refer to Illustration C.
- Extract the two screws below the ashtray securing the dash bezel to the dash.
- Using a panel removal tool, carefully release the metal clip fasteners from around the perimeter of the dash bezel and remove.
- Extract the two bolts securing the rear of the radio to the sub-dash structure from under the radio in the ash tray cavity.
- Pull the radio out of the cavity, unplug all connectors, and remove.
1992-94 Acura Vigor
Refer to Illustration A.
- Extract the cover cap between the heater control sliding adjuster controls and extract the screw behind it.
- Pull the heater controls assembly out of the dash, disconnect the connector, and remove.
- Extract the two screws securing the top of the radio assembly located in the heater control cavity.
- Remove the ashtray and extract the two screws from this location.
- Remove the cover caps located at the front of the console on each side and extract the screw behind each.
- Lift up and remove the carpet insert piece located in the console pocket.
- Extract the two screws from the console pocket under the previously removed carpet piece.
- Carefully lift up on the console and slide it back away from the radio.
- Pull the radio dash bezel assembly away from the dash, unplug all connectors (see caution), and remove.
- Extract the two rear support bolts securing the rear of the radio to the subframe assembly structure and remove the radio from the front of the dash bezel.
CAUTION: This radio may have an anti-theft design requiring a specific access code when power is disconnected and reconnected. Ensure the access code is readily available before disconnecting the radio.
1998-02 Honda Accord
Refer to Illustration H.
- Extract two screws from the bottom of the radio dash bezel.
- Carefully pop out the hazard switch/clock assembly and extract one screw from behind it.
- Carefully pry up on the radio trim bezel to release it from the dash, unplug climate controls, and remove the dash bezel.
Note: The factory provision is for a Double DIN style stereo or stereo/pocket assembly. An installation kit is not necessary for aftermarket installations if a stereo with ISO side mounting holes is used along with the factory-equipped or similar style pocket.
1994-97 Honda Accord
Refer to Illustrations C and D.
- Remove the ashtray and extract the screw located in the ashtray cavity securing the radio dash bezel to the dash.
- Remove the cup holder located in front of the console storage compartment and extract the screw from inside the cavity securing the console.
- Carefully pry up on the cover panel located in the console storage pocket with a small screwdriver and extract the two screws securing the console.
- Carefully slide the console back far enough to access and remove the two screws behind the shifter securing the radio dash bezel.
- Using a panel removal tool, carefully pry up on the perimeter of the radio trim bezel, starting around the shifter, to release the fastening clips securing it to the dash. Unplug all connectors and remove the bezel.
- Extract the two bolts securing the rear support of the radio to the dash below the radio/pocket assembly. Pull the radio out of the dash cavity, unplug all connectors, and remove the radio.
1990-93 Honda Accord
Refer to Illustrations C and D.
- Extract the two screws, one from each side of the console. Lift off the console (for manual transmissions, remove the shift lever boot first).
- Pull out the ashtray and extract the two screws securing the ashtray light and side housing.
- Remove the two screws securing the rear of the radio (screws are located to the rear of the dash cavity, in the support bracket of the radio).
- Pull the radio/pocket assembly out of the dash. Flex the trim panel for radio support bracket clearance.
Note: For added bracket clearance, remove two screws that secure the bottom/backside of the radio trim (one from each side of the panel, located just below where the rear radio support screws were removed), then remove two screws from the panel just above the radio location. Disconnect the connectors and remove the assembly.
2006-Up Honda Civic
Refer to Illustrations I and C2.
- Using a panel removal tool, unsnap the panel located beneath the radio inside the storage compartment.
- Extract two 8mm bolts from behind the panel, securing the factory radio to the dash chassis.
- The panel closest to the foot pedal will have a release knob that must be turned counter-clockwise to release the panel. Unsnap the remaining attached portion of the panel.
- Using a panel removal tool, unsnap the knee guard under the steering wheel.
- Extract one Phillips head screw securing the dash bezel located to the left of the steering wheel.
- Using a panel removal tool, unsnap the perimeter of the top dash surrounding the radio and instrument cluster.
- The radio is attached to the dash bezel.
- Lift away, disconnect harness, and remove.
1999-00 Honda Civic
- Extract two screws from the center panel below the radio.
- Extract four screws from the driver's side underdash panel, and unsnap to remove.
- Extract two screws from the left side of the center dash panel.
- Open glove box, push stoppers inward to let glove box hang all the way open.
- Extract two screws from the right side of the center dash panel.
- Pull the center dash panel down, unplug lighter socket and remove panel.
- Carefully pull out complete center console/radio/climate control assembly.
- Unplug all control, radio, antenna, and remove entire assembly.
2002-04 Honda CRV
- Remove two screws.
- Using a panel removal tool, pry out the dash bezel around the radio.
- Remove four screws.
1997-01 Honda CRV
- Unsnap push-pin fasteners from the bottom of the center console and remove the bottom panel.
- Extract four screws from the bottom edge of the bezel. Extract four screws from inside the dash below the pocket. Pull the cup holder/pocket assembly...
- Open the glove box and remove stoppers. Extract two screws from the right side of the center dash bezel.
- From below the steering wheel, extract two screws from the bottom edge of the panel, unsnap the upper edge of the panel, unplug, and remove.
- Unsnap the top edge or center lower bezel, unplug, and remove.
- Extract two screws from the sides of the pocket.
- Unsnap the radio/AC control dash bezel, unplug, and remove.
- Extract four screws from each side of the radio bracket assembly to remove the radio from the dash/AC bezel.
1999-04 Honda Odyssey
Note: The factory radio is a Double Din/ISO. An installation kit is necessary when using an aftermarket radio. Scosche recommends the HA1560 or HA1562.
- Unsnap bezel, lift away, unplug, and remove.
1995-98 Honda Odyssey / 1996-98 Isuzu Oasis
- Open glovebox and unsnap glove box's rubber stoppers at the sides and remove one screw at the restraining arm on the right side.
- Extract two screws from the right side of the center console assembly.
- Extract two screws from the bottom of the center console near the carpet.
- Open console storage compartment and extract two screws from near the top.
- Extract two screws from the driver's side underdash panel and pop out the right side of the panel only to access one screw holding the center console.
- Carefully pull back on the lower center console assembly to unsnap, unplug, and remove.
- Extract two screws from each side of the slide-out cup holder and remove the cup holder.
- From underneath, extract two 8mm screws holding the back edge of the radio/pocket to the dash structure.
- Slide radio out of dash, unplug connectors and antenna, and remove.
1997-01 Honda Prelude
- Carefully unsnap...
- Extract four screws from the radio/pocket assembly, unplug the radio, and remove.
1992-96 Honda Prelude
- Carefully reaching behind the console, access and untighten the 8mm bolt securing the rear of the radio.
- Carefully pull the unit from the cavity, unplug all connectors, and remove.
