Refrigerant System
Heat exchanger features a mechanically bonded aluminum fin to copper tube design.
Refrigerant flow is controlled by an electronic expansion valve within the indoor unit.
Includes an R32 alarm output plug for simple notification or interlock of third-party equipment upon R32 leak detection (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).
Indoor Fan
Equipped with smart pressure control that adjusts fan speed based on ESP for consistent heating and cooling power.
Features a smart-tuning function for optimized comfort, allowing users to adjust the fan CFM curve for airflow customization.
Includes automatic air volume scanning for simplified setup and optimized occupant comfort settings.
Controls
Control wiring uses 2 x 16 AWG wire.
Operation is managed via a wired remote controller (model VSTAT04P-1, purchased separately).
Supports dual set temperature when connected to supported controllers.
Wired or wireless controllers must be purchased separately.
External Heat Control
External heat control functionality allows configuration of fan operation during auxiliary heat, defrost, and emergency heat modes (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).
Configuration settings include: outside ambient external heat lockout, outside ambient compressor lockout, and time delay options (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).
Emergency heat functionality enables continued control of the external heat source even when system errors prevent the heat pump from operating (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).
Convenience
Features an Emergency Temperature Output (ETO) function. When the indoor unit is in an error status or the room temperature exceeds a configurable level, the system outputs a signal to an external source (e.g., backup system, building management system, alert device like a status light, warning lamp, or buzzer).
Certifications
Certified by Intertek (ETL Listed) and AHRI (AHRI Standard 210/240 for Unitary Small HP). Certification applies only when the complete system is listed with AHRI.
