Multimedia Projector

This document provides a quick start guide for setting up and operating Epson EB-535W, EB-525W, EB-530, and EB-520 multimedia projectors, covering connections, basic operation, and projection distance information.
What's in the Box
The package typically includes:
- Multimedia Projector
- Remote Control
- Batteries for Remote Control
- Power Cable
- Computer Cable (e.g., D-Sub)
- Document CD-ROM (containing software and manuals)
- A warning label indicating password protection may be required for certain features.
Basic Setup and Operation
Step 1: Connect Power and Computer
Connect the power cable to the projector and a power outlet. Connect your computer to the projector using the appropriate cable (e.g., HDMI, D-Sub, or USB). Ensure the computer is also powered on.
Step 2: Power On
Press the power button on the projector or the remote control. The projector will begin its startup sequence. The power indicator light will illuminate.
Step 3: Select Source
Use the 'Source Search' button on the remote or projector to select the correct input source corresponding to your connected computer.
Image Adjustment
Keystone Correction
If the projected image appears trapezoidal (wider at the top or bottom), use the keystone correction feature. This can typically be accessed via a button or menu option, allowing you to adjust the image shape for a rectangular display.
Zoom and Focus
Use the zoom lens (Wide/Tele) to adjust the image size and the focus ring to sharpen the image. The projector may also offer digital zoom (E-Zoom) for further size adjustments.
A/V Mute / Freeze
The A/V Mute function can temporarily blank the screen and mute the audio. The Freeze function can freeze the current image displayed.
Connection Ports
The projector features a variety of input and output ports:
- USB Type A: For connecting USB storage devices or other peripherals.
- HDMI: For digital audio and video input.
- S-Video: For video input.
- Video: For composite video input.
- Audio Out (L/R): For outputting audio to external speakers.
- D-Sub (VGA): For analog computer video input.
- Audio In (L/R): For inputting audio from external sources, often paired with D-Sub or Video inputs.
- Mic: For microphone input.
- Computer 2: Another analog computer video input.
- Monitor Out: To output the video signal to a monitor.
- Audio 1/2 Out: Additional audio output options.
- CRESTRON: For control system integration.
Projection Distance Tables
The following tables provide projection distances for different screen sizes and aspect ratios. 'A' and 'B' represent screen dimensions in centimeters, and '1' and '2' represent projection distances in meters.

Important Notes and Precautions
Please observe the following precautions during use:

- Ensure proper ventilation; do not block the projector's air vents.
- Do not expose the projector to rain or moisture.

- Do not place the projector near water sources.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the projector yourself.
- Only use the supplied AC adapter or a compatible one.
- Do not place the projector near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- Ensure the projector is placed on a stable, level surface.
- Maintain a minimum distance of 20cm from walls or obstructions to ensure proper airflow.
- The projector may require password protection for certain functions.
Software Installation
Insert the included Document CD-ROM into your computer's CD/DVD drive. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the projector software and access the full user manual.
