System Topology
The system topology illustrates the connection between various components of the VIGI VMS. It includes:
- VIGI Camera and NVR: These are the primary devices that capture and store video data.
- VIGI NVR: A Network Video Recorder that can manage multiple VIGI cameras and potentially third-party cameras.
- VIGI Camera: Individual IP cameras from TP-Link's VIGI series.
- Third-Party Camera: Indicates compatibility with cameras from other manufacturers.
- Internet: The network connection enabling remote access and management.
- Switch: Network switches used to connect devices within the local network.
- VIGI VMS Service (deployed on server): The core software that manages the entire system, typically installed on a server.
- VMS PC Client: A desktop application for accessing and managing the VIGI VMS.
- VMS Web Portal: A web-based interface for accessing the VIGI VMS.
- VIGI APP: A mobile application for connecting to and managing the VIGI VMS service.
The diagram shows how these components interconnect, with cameras and NVRs connecting to switches, which then connect to the server hosting the VIGI VMS service. Remote access is facilitated through the internet, allowing the PC Client, Web Portal, and APP to connect to the VMS service.
