Final Installation Phase
Power Supply and Operation Test
Power Supply
CAUTION: Use a new outlet. There is a risk of accidents from old outlets due to poor contact. Plug and unplug the power cord 2-3 times to ensure it is firmly plugged into the outlet. Keep the extra length of the power cord and do not apply external force to the plug, as this may cause poor contact. Do not fix the power cord with a U-shaped nail.
Operation Test
Ensure the air conditioner operates normally during the operation test. Explain the proper operating procedures to the customer as described in the user manual.
Wiring Procedures
WARNING: This device must be grounded.
Indoor Unit Wiring
To connect the wiring for the indoor unit, remove the front cover, the lower cover under the unit body, and the terminal cover.
- Remove the terminal block cover and screw in the cable.
- After removing the terminal block cover, connect the connection cables and fix the terminal block cover with the screw.
Power Cord Connection
WARNING: The stripped portion of the cable must be 10 mm and must be firmly fixed to the terminal. Then, try pulling each cable to check if the contact is solid. Incorrect insertion may burn the terminal. Ensure you use only the specified cables with the air conditioner unit. Refer to the wiring connection manual. The wiring technique must comply with electrical installation regulations. When the power is connected, an AC voltage drop occurs between terminals L and N. Therefore, be sure to unplug the plug from the outlet.
Connection Cable Details:
- Connection Cable (Indoor Unit): 1.5mm²
- Connection Cable (Outdoor Unit): 2.5mm²
- Power Supply Cable: AC 220~240V 50/60Hz
Wiring Diagram Details:
- Strip cables to the specified lengths: 10mm for most, 20mm for green/yellow ground wire, 70mm for connection cable, 100mm for power cord.
- Ensure green and yellow (ground) wire is properly connected.
Electrical Cover Removal Method:
- Remove the screw and the electrical cover.
- Insert the connection cable (1, 2, 3) from the rear of the unit.
- Firmly fix the wires to the terminals as shown.
WARNING: Leave slack in the connection cable for maintenance tasks and ensure it is secured with a cable tie. Secure the connection cable along the coated part of the cable using the cable tie. Do not put pressure on the cable, as this may cause overheating or a fire hazard.
How to Connect Optional Parts
(Dry Contact, External Communication/Wi-Fi (Optional), Wired Remote Controller, Operation Status)
To connect the cables to the control PWB, remove the front cover and the electrical box cover.
Connection locations:
- Dry Contact: CN6
- External Communication/Wi-Fi: CN7
- Wired Remote Controller: CN20
- Operation Status: CN25
Refer to the manuals included with each optional part for more information on connection. You can refer to this installation manual for how to disassemble and reassemble the front cover.
Be careful not to damage the conductor wires with the edge of the plate when connecting optional parts.
Pipe Connection and Insulation Maintenance
- The connected terminals must be completely sealed with thermal insulation and then tied with rubber tape.
- Join the pipe with the electric wire using vinyl tape, as shown in the figure illustrating the installation of indoor and outdoor units. Then, secure them with brackets.
- To improve thermal insulation and prevent water condensation, cover the exterior of the drain pipe and the pipe with the insulation piping.
- Seal any gaps completely with putty.
Insulating Material for Pipe Connection:
- Protective pipe sleeve
- Putty
How to Remove the Front Cover
- Remove the front panel. Lift the front panel by holding it with both hands from the lower sides. When the front panel is fully open, pull the inner part of the right arm outward and push the panel forward, gradually closing it.
- Remove the pre-filters. Pull upwards to release the claws and remove the pre-filter.
- After removing the two covers and two screws, slightly turn the horizontal louver towards you. Then, push the center of the front cover to release the claws.
- Pull the inner faces (lower sections) of the front cover towards you as shown in the figure and remove the cover.
- Slide the shafts first on the left and then on the right arm of the front panel, along the plane of the front cover. Insert the shafts into the holes until they stop. After confirming that the shafts are firmly inserted, close the front panel.
How to Attach the Front Cover
- Check that the drain pan is firmly attached.
- To install the front cover onto the unit, push two points in the center to lock the two claws in the direction shown in the following image. Then, hook the four claws on the upper part of the front cover securely.
- Tighten the two screws and then attach the two caps. Install the pre-filters.
