Apator Ultrimis Ultrasonic Water Meter
DN15-DN50
Product Overview
The Ultrimis is a state-of-the-art ultrasonic water meter featuring the patented W-Sonic Technology. This unique metering method allows for precise readings within the R800 range, with a starting flow rate as low as 0.75 liters per hour. The meter is designed and manufactured to high-quality standards, boasting an IP68 rating and high resistance to hydraulic shock and magnetic interference. Its measurement chamber is engineered for insensitivity to hydraulic shock and is completely impervious to interference from magnetic fields.
Application
The Ultrimis water meter is suitable for water supply systems with maximum cold water temperatures of 50°C and maximum hot water temperatures of 70°C. It is ideal for applications requiring reliable water consumption metering and data communication, including remote meter reading via NFC, WM-Bus, or LoRaWAN. The meter can be installed in any orientation and does not require upstream or downstream straight sections of piping.

- Low carbon footprint.
Innovative Features (W-Sonic Technology)
- Unique measurement system emitting an ultrasonic beam across the measurement chamber for steady indications and minimal errors across the entire measurement range.
- Compact design compared to other ultrasonic metering systems.
- Full-bore design prevents entrapment of fouling or solids.
- Insensitive to measurement bias from water contamination.
- Sophisticated control algorithms compensate for component aging.
- Requires no filters or check valves.
Communication
- Water meter data reading over NFC (Near Field Communication).
- RF (radio-frequency) reading of indications compatible with WM-Bus.
- NFC Configuration: RF indication reading for walk-by and drive-by reading systems, and stationary reading systems without reconfiguration. Secondary verification is possible at any location using the Testbox module and a dedicated application.
The Ultrimis water meters feature standard NFC data communication, enabling configuration of operating modes, reading of actual parameter values, and downloading historical indications and statuses. The data communication interface includes a dedicated SPIDAP application and the Testbox module for re-verification.
The data logger supported by NFC allows modification of the data logging interval and range. The interval can be configured from 12 minutes to 45 days. Up to 800 unique records can be stored, which can be used to evaluate the meter's suitability for its application.
Wireless M-Bus + LoRaWAN
The Ultrimis LoRaWAN + WM-Bus versions are designed for stationary reading systems, offering long-range and low-power communication over LoRaWAN. If LoRaWAN service is unavailable, the meter automatically switches to WM-Bus communication. Permanent use of LoRaWAN only or WM-Bus only is also configurable.
LoRaWAN Communication Areas:
- Standard data communication: RF data frame output every 7 hours, holding data from the previous 14 hours.
- Emergency data communication: Triggered instantly by predefined events.
LCD Display Functions
The LCD displays various information including:
- Water meter indication in m³ and dm³.
- Actual flow rate (water meter primed with water).
- Software version number and CRC (no water detected).
- Status Indicators: Low battery, RF transmission on, Shipping mode, Tampering detected, Test mode, Back flow, Water meter leak, Water main leak (bypass flow), No water, Metering online, Zero flow.
Events Not Indicated on the LCD
- Overtemperature (for T50: <2°C or >50°C; for T70: <2°C or >70°C).
- Switchover.
