RF Exposure

Your device contains a radio transmitter and a receiver. When it is ON, it receives and transmits RF energy. When your device is in use, the system handling your connection controls the power level at which your device transmits.

Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)

Your wireless device is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves recommended by international guidelines. These guidelines were developed by the independent scientific organisation ICNIRP and include safety margins designed to assure the protection of all persons, regardless of age and health.

The guidelines use a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit for mobile devices is 2 W/kg for Head and Body-worn, and 4 W/kg for Limb. The highest SAR value for this device when tested complied with this limit.

Body Worn Operation

To ensure compliance with RF exposure guidelines, the device must be used with a minimum of 5mm separation from the body. Failure to observe these instructions could result in your RF exposure exceeding the relevant guideline limits and may use more power than necessary.

Your router is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed and manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for exposure to radio-frequency (RF) energy. These limits are part of comprehensive guidelines and establish permitted levels of RF energy for the general population. The guidelines are based on standards that were developed by independent scientific organizations through periodic and thorough evaluation of scientific studies. These guidelines include a substantial safety margin designed to ensure the safety of all persons, regardless of age and health.

The exposure standard for routers employs a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit set by public authorities such as the Federal Communications Commission of the US Government (FCC), or by Industry Canada, is 1.6 W/kg averaged over 1 gram of body tissue. Tests for SAR are conducted using standard operating positions with the router transmitting at its highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands.

Although the SAR is determined at the highest certified power level, the actual SAR level of the router while operating can be well below the maximum value. This is because the router is designed to operate at multiple power levels so as to use only the power required to reach the network. In general, the closer you are to a wireless base station antenna, the lower the power output of the router. Before a router model is available for sale to the public, compliance with national regulations and standards must be shown.

The highest SAR value for this model phone when tested is 1.11 W/Kg for use close to the body.

For body-worn operation, the phone meets FCC RF exposure guidelines provided that it is used with a non-metallic accessory with the handset at least 10 mm from the body. Use of other accessories may not ensure compliance with FCC RF exposure guidelines.

Electrical Safety

Accessories

Use only approved accessories and chargers. Do not connect with incompatible products or accessories.

Take care not to touch or allow metal objects, such as coins or key rings, to contact or short-circuit the battery terminals, charger, device charging point or any electrical contacts on accessories. Do not touch your device with wet hands. Do not touch the power cord with wet hands or disconnect the charger by pulling the cord. Doing so may result in electrocution.

Connection to a Car

Faulty and Damaged Products

Do not attempt to disassemble the device or its accessory. Only qualified personnel should service or repair the device or its accessory. Battery Handling & Safety

Always switch the device off and disconnect the cable before removing the battery. Only use the battery and cable supplied, or manufacturer-approved replacements intended for use with your device. Interference

Pacemakers

Blasting Caps and Areas: Turn off your wireless device when in a blasting area or in areas posted turn off “two-way radios” or “electronic devices” to avoid interfering with blasting operations.

Disposal and Recycling
