3. Operation

3.1 Placement: Place the wake-up lamp 16-20 inches (40-50 cm) away from your head, for example, on a bedside table.

3.2 Power Supply:

  • 3.2.1 Connect it with a 5V DC power supply. After one second, it will enter the clock setting mode.
  • 3.2.2 Insert 2 AAA batteries. After one second, it will enter the clock setting mode.

3.3 Set the Time:

  • 3.3.1 You must set the clock when you use the device for the first time and in case of power failure.
  • 3.3.2 When the clock is flashing, you can [press] to set the hour/minute. [Press] [confirm] to confirm the clock.
  • 3.3.3 [Press] [mode] to choose between the 12-hour or 24-hour system. After the 12-hour system is chosen, AM or PM will be displayed. Press [+] to add the hour and change AM to PM.
  • 3.3.4 [Press] [brightness] to adjust the clock brightness: Low to High to Off.
  • 3.3.5 When powered by 2 AAA batteries, the clock display will disappear automatically in 5 seconds. You can [press] one of the icons to resume it.

3.4 The Light:

  • 3.4.1 First, [touch] [power] to turn on the white light and use it as a bedside lamp. You can adjust the brightness by [touching] [brightness]; there are 10 levels in total.
  • 3.4.2 Second, [touch] [color] to automatically enter the color setting mode, and you can use it as a night light. [Touch] [color] to choose the color: Green, Red, Blue, Violet, Orange, Indigo.
  • 3.4.3 Third, [touch] [power] to turn off the light.

3.5 Set Alarm Bell / Alarm Time:

  • 3.5.1 [Press] [alarm] to turn on or off the alarm. The icon [alarm] appears after you set it. It disappears after you turn it off.
  • 3.5.2 Hold for 3 seconds to set the alarm. The clock will flash, and then you can adjust the alarm by [pressing] [select]. [Press] [confirm] to confirm the alarm setting. The setting will be canceled if no operation is performed within 5 seconds.
  • 3.5.3 [Press] [sound], and then [press] [select] to choose between 1 and 7 for the alarm sound (1st-6th are natural sounds (music), the 7th is FM radio). If you choose the sound from 1st to 6th, each music will play for 10 seconds. If you choose the 7th, there is no bell, but the FM radio will sound as the alarm. [Press] [confirm] to confirm the sound. The setting will be canceled if no operation is performed within 5 seconds.
  • 3.5.4 You can choose the alarm volume between 00 and 15 (default is 10) by pressing up to 15, and then decreasing from 15 to 00.

3.6 Sunrise Simulation: Wake-up, Alarm, Snooze

  • 3.6.1 Powered by DC 5V: 30 minutes before the alarm time, the white light will turn on at 10% to 100% brightness to prepare your body to wake up. During the alarm, the bell will last for 2 minutes. In this process, you can [press] [snooze] to enter snooze mode (continue sleeping); the bell will ring again after 5 minutes and last for 2 minutes. [Press] [off] only to stop it. During the alarm duration, you can turn off the light by long pressing [power] for 3 seconds. If you want to turn off the alarm function, please [press] [alarm].
  • 3.6.2 Powered by 2 AAA batteries: No light indication. During the alarm, the bell will last for 2 minutes. You can [press] [snooze] to enter snooze mode; the bell will ring again after 5 minutes and last for 2 minutes. [Press] [snooze] only to pause it. If you want to turn off the alarm function, please [press] [alarm].
  • 3.6.3 If the FM radio is playing, at the alarm time, the bell will sound instead of the FM radio. The FM radio resumes after the alarm stops.

3.7 Set Sleep Time:

  • 3.7.1 [Press] [sleep] to turn on or off the mode. The icon [sleep] appears after you select it, and it disappears after you turn it off.
  • 3.7.2 Long press to set the desired time. The clock display will flash, and you can adjust the time by [pressing] [select]. [Press] [confirm] to confirm your setting. The setting will be canceled automatically if no operation is performed within 5 seconds.

3.8 Sleep Lamp: 30 minutes before sunset, the white light will turn on automatically at 100% brightness regardless of the mode, and then the light will gradually decrease until it turns off at the set time. During this process, you can turn off the light by long pressing [power] for 3 seconds.

3.9 FM Radio / Bluetooth Speaker / AUX:

  • Press [FM] to turn on/off the FM radio. Long press [FM] to automatically scan frequencies, and they will be saved automatically. [Press] [tune] to select frequencies.
  • Press the [FM] icon again to enter the Bluetooth function. In Bluetooth mode, connect this device (JW_6640(0092)) with your phone to play music.
  • Then, press the [FM] icon a third time to enter the AUX function. In AUX mode, connect the device to others via an AUX cable.
  • Note: You can select the FM radio volume between 00 and 15 by pressing up to 15, then decreasing from 15 to 00.
  • Note: For a good radio signal, fully extend the antenna for better reception.

4. Warnings

To reduce the risk of FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR INJURY TO PERSONS:

  • 4.1 Never use if its bulb is defective, broken, or missing.
  • 4.2 Observe all warnings.
  • 4.3 Do not look directly at the light.
  • If the charger or power cable has been damaged in any way that caused the device to be exposed to rain or humidity.
